Is it worth spending money on a char to bot?

I work full time and spend 3 weeks offshore one week on. Basically, botting has rekindled my interest in D3 - I want a really strong barb to bot efficiently with. I understand thats its always risky botting, and since I'm relatively new, and given my circumstance, is it worth the risk to spend maybe $100? Or is it more of a it's only time till you get banned case?

No, 150 mil per bot is enough to gear them.

I spent 85 Euro to gear my bot up. It's worth the fun.

Spent ~35mil per barb bot back in January. By now ~15-20 mil will do.
They're cookie cutters nothing special.
