Is it worth it to create a new Hb profile?

I am a Software engineer and was thinking once i get my priest to lvl 60 i would create a HB 1-60 questing profile with a plugin to make it more stable, but i just realized by the time i'm done the expansion will be 40 days away aprox.

So do you guys think its worth it to try to create it or should i not even bother.

Also does anyone know if bossland is getting ready for the expansion (HB mesh / profile) wise?

From what i've heard there's a Cata version in development and as for your question, go for it because even after cata comes out, people will be making new characters and will need a 1-60 profile.
 
Yes, Even after cata comes out. A lot of people will be wanting to level alts and a questing profile that is stable
would help a lot.
 
Personally.. i feel there are a few projects out there being worked on.. i would say get with one of them and join their group... its not like the day when people would make a ton of different grinding profiles cause of areas they grinded in.. with quests tehre's really only so many directions to go.... and its more complex. So a few projects with more hands making it run alot smoother.. is FAR better then a bunch of attempted projects that get left hanging cause it gets too complex for 1 person.
 
Depending on your faction work with mordd (ally) or hawker (horde) and see if they need help. Or do what im doing and help test the profiles. Atm i'm testing Mordd's alliance questing profile.

when Cata comes out the whole world will change hence his question. this change will be for everyone, not the zoning or anything like that anymore just the whole world. so all 1-60's right now till then be useless.
 
personally i can't wait for cata.. we can clear the forum of all profiles and start fresh! :)
 
not all profiles mate, all 1-60 profiles will be useless, the rest of the world(outland/Nrthrend) will remain the way they are.
 
Well there's people already making profiles for Cata and there's work for preparing for Cata, things should be up and running very soon after release.
 
making profiles for cataclysm seems useless to me right now, because a lot will change when it goes beta, guess the xyz coords will change, item names zone changes etc... think you are getting your hopes up too high!

But it will give us a base to start off even if things change, I dont see the harm in getting the core of profiles down and then changing them as needed
It would be better then just starting from scratch.
 
When cata comes out things will be in different places in towns and stuff so it's probably best to hold off, or get beta access from a friend and make it inside the beta realm.
 
I have the beta and only a few zones change (so far), physically and quest wise, who know what will change when retail is released but so far in the beta as i said only a few zones have changed.

I've lent out my beta account to a few profile designers, that's why i'm saying Cata profiles are already set in motion
 
still useless to me but well see, dont get your idea of core profiles, what do you mean with core? there is no core^^
 
Well with that being the case.. i don't see why you wouldn't go ahead and do a Outlands/Northrend quest profile pack?

ofcourse those can be made already;)
 
ok.. i'll rephrase... makea GOOD one :) most efforts are being put into the 1 to 60's right now.. very little work to create an updated one for anything past that :)
 
From what i am seeing a 1-60 would be pointless.
I was thinking of doing a 58-68 and a 68-80 but as of right now some ppl are in the middle of making reallllly good ones.

I guess ill wait until the expansion, lvl a char from 1-60 (worgan), and then make a botting profile.
