Is it safe to sell a character off of an account?

I have pretty much 0 experience selling accounts so I am just wondering if it's safe to sell a character off of an account?

My main concern is I need to give him all of my info, including ID for the new account. Could he make an attempt at recovering my main account with my ID and no SQA? Would Blizzard have raised suspicions if they ever investigate an account like this?

I think you can do a char transfer if am not mistaken.

Yeah, I know you CAN transfer off an account, I am just wondering if there are extra security risks over selling the account as a whole?

it can still be taken back, but the chances are very slim

but i'd say it's much safer than selling / buying an acct
