Hello!

I have had an pause from WoW since start of MoP, i have a quick question, is it risky to bot now? I have heard from a few friends that Blizzard does not hesistate with the Banhammer anymore.
I have been botting since start of Wotlk to MoP, last time i botted i got the permbann on my main account.

Anybody here knows how the state of botting is right now?

Edit: Might have noticed now that this might be the wrong forum section, sorry, please move it to the correct :)

There is always a risk when it comes to botting, that is just how it goes. Never risk anything you aren't willing to let go of.

I know, usually i change my MAC-Adress & i use a VPN.
I was wondering if Blizzard is harder towards bot than they were before.

Still dosnt answer my question though, iam aware that botting is a risk and you will get banned.
My question is that is Blizzard more harder towards bots?

I.e. during Cata i was able to bot maybe 12 hours everyday just farming herbs & ores without getting banned.
All in all, i want to know if Blizzard is making a bigger effort to ban botters nowaday then before.

Yes, just like they have always been I would have to say.

Blizzard didn't really give a fuck about botters before compared to how it has been lately (or what I have gathered, just got back into botting/wow aswell)

Just be more careful with your bots, thats all I can come up with really

Its hard to say on a personal level, but during my years of botting i have noticed trends, at the beginning of expansions they like to keep the numbers up so botters get away with more, towards the end they bring down the ban hammer and is personally when i have had my accounts suspended.

I am sure they take into account the effect botting has on there profit margins and how to maximize it as such, they will take in account like customer satisfaction which will have a weight (making sure they appear to want to stop cheating) , how many people are only subscribing to bot in wow , they value big subscriber numbers has on the blizzard blizzard brand. it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if blizzard knew exactly how many people are botting right now via random sampling of past ban waves and make precises calculation to maximize the value of blizzard brand name which is there number 1 goal.

Basically, bot on an account mean you will be banned.
It's not "if", just "when".

Consider that as an answer, and so, you'll be ready :p
