Is it "safe" to bot now?

I know that anytime you open hb there is always a chance you will get banned.
i was just wondering since the 100k banwave is there still a huge chance i will be banned if i use HB?
 
Well I imagine the bot's going to be down for 6.2 for a bit, but yeah. It's a 'safe' as it always has been.
 
The king, Bossland usually closes these posts like this : 'HB is safe as it always was, thread closed' :)
 
And no it isn't as safe as it always was. Much less so. They have a means of detection, nobody is willing to be proactive and address the shortcomings they do know about, and blizzard is on the rampage.

I wouldn't call that safe as it always was, unless your being sarcastic or using a blanket statement.
 
But it is as safe as it always was. We have no idea when we were detected, it could've been a year ago, it could've been 6 months ago, it could be every time the bot is opened by anyone anywhere.

Until we can figure that out, the bot is exactly as safe as it ever was. A banwave changes nothing without knowing what caused the banwave to begin with.

Not exactly, I lost an account created 11 days before the ban wave. :)

And it seems my accounts not uses with HB since April have remained unaffected,

So we know it was multiple scans done over a few months since April right up to the date of the ban wave.
 
Botted hard up until a week before the ban, and have been botting hard on the same accounts since an hour after honorbuddy came out again, no accounts banned.

You guys need to stop making silly statements like this...

This proves absolutely nothing. It's possible that you were simply offline or not botting when blizz did a scan. They obviously can do one whenever they want and noone knows what the scan actually looks like.
 
Its as safe as it gets. Don't bot on what you dont want to lose as they say.

Also I would take caution today considering it is new content day. More people WILL be playing, thus more eyes on the new areas and potentially old areas being watched as well. Not the best time to AFK bot imo
 
Sure it's safe to bot now! Fire up that ol' bot and throw caution to the wind!!!!

No offense, but this is a completely stupid comment.

Not once in the history of HB and major content patches has the bot been ready on day 1. Additionally, there's no profiles to AFK bot the new zones anyways.

Please think before you make comments like this...

And the ban forums have no more reports than what was occurring before the banwave.
 
You will get banned when you try a dumb profile that leads your char moving like a down idiot.
