Is it safe to bot again?

It's never been safe.
The bot is updated and working on latest wow patch, however there have been an increase in ban reports in the last few days though. That may be some indicator.
Its up to you. Never bot on anything you aren't willing to lose.

Thanks for that, I botted for 3 years without a single ban but then because of the pathing detection got banned on 3 accounts in one week. I don't bot to sell gold just for fun and personal gold. I'm just wondering if HB now some how circumvents the pathing detection or whether it's still a major issue

Thanks Tony. But is running a my old profiles for 10 or so hours a day likely to result in a ban from the pathing detection or should I try and change some things up like fishing + herbing with randomised waypoints?

I've been on a break with my main some what since August but keeping an eye on the scene and farming lightly with my GB2 account.
You might be interested to know there are a few ways of randomising nodes in a given profile ---which may or may not improve your chances. It's a response some what to the notion of LCP which may or may not be used by Blizzard.
As for your original question of using old profiles -well if they worked before then perhaps you'll be ok. Some of my own profiles that are more than 6 months are still working perfectly.
As others have said you must still apply due diligence to your botting practise.
