It is Chinese New Year for a week, and nobody in China wants to work right now. Their big New Year celebration is like Christmas in the US. Does this help US gold farmers? :-)

chinese new year, is a 15 day celebration that started on feb 19th of this year. pretty much all of china shuts down and goes into party mode. for example, go to a few chinese vendors, like T-Mart, or DHGate, you will see shipments of goods are delayed to the end of the celebration. whole companies go on standby while the whole country celebrates.

with a population of 1.357 Billion, its a pretty big deal.

for those interested on how 20% of the world is spending this week, check out this link.
15-day celebration

not a big deal? maybe you should get out more.

Ok i did not know it lasted 15 days, so it might be worth a mention

I don't see how it can be.
People go to party for 15 days that okey however i see no problem for them to leave their bots running for 15 days unsupervised. Heck if i can do it with my limited knowlege they can probably automate the whole process from buying cards to registering accounts to actually leveling and botting.
Also if most gold selling sites don't sell or sell with delays that means that gold is getting out slower.

or...new theory. there are no bots in stonecore or grim batol this week, because of chinese new year and not blizzard ban tactics. there may be some interesting things happening in the next month.
