Is botting any more safe/unsafe than it was 6 months ago ?

Hello, i have been away from wow and honorbuddy for over 6 months, thought i would come back and give it another go
is botting any more safe or unsafe than it was 6 months ago ?

has anything major changed or am i still ok to jump right in and start questing a new character 1-90 ??
anything else i should know

If you bot smart everything's the same.
If you bot not-so-smart you may want to stay away from gb2 & bgbuddy
