I'm in way bashing this product....I think its a great tool...However i do agree that that the community is left in the dark for WAY TOO LONG....If there was any doubt whatsoever that blizz is starting to be able to detect these bots in ways other than player reports or node counts auctions, etc...I think Bossland or Tony or someone should address the community instead of we wish you luck and bot on....Would you like to upgrade to a lifetime user for another $$$$$...I was a long time user of glider and used it till they got shut down...Honorbuddy is leaps and bounds ahead of what glider was in terms of relative ease in leveling....But at least with glider, I could set the relogger up and NOT ever TOUCH MY Toon other than having to move locations....And if anything such as a hiccup was even thought to be wrong with detection, they shut the program down and let the community know exactly what was going on...We are left sitting for hours or days when any modest patch comes...I know this sounds more like bashing than praising, but I always keep the forums open even when botting to read new posts and see whats been added because i do love this bot....But when i refresh my screen for the last week, and every thread is 72 hour suspension or perma banned, and the devs aren't even shedding light on the matter, it kinda pisses me off....Sorry to rant, but i'm sure at this point we're all thinking it....

not only that but it adds some psychological aspects to it as well, because im sure users doubting their bots is exactly what blizzard wants.
i beg to differ on a couple points..
1. maybe not a banwave, but definitely something going on.
2. from the hundreds of suspension/ban reports, it does very well seem that HB IS being detected in some form. maybe not exactly HB is being detected, but there is something it does that is being traced. accounts that are 2 hours old being banned for "hack"? sorry, not everything can be blamed on player reports and irresponsible botting.

4. a mod dropping into a thread to proclaim that HB isnt being detected isnt exactly what i would call "addressing the issue". or maybe im missing the posts where its being addressed.

1. yes its called server side detection, there where at lot of these at the end of gliders life right after wrath came out, because blizzard decided to stop with all the warden non-sense, and run complex algorithms on their databases to detect "bot like" behavior. this is whats happening now.
2. because its all happening server side honorbuddy / gatherbuddy is not being directly detected, theres nothing we can do about how they are finding people, we can only monitor warden as its our main concern, theres nothing that can be done about how they go about finding players based on information they have. all we can do and is try and make it as random as possible, obviously things like private profiles help with these matters as the same points aren't being logged on all servers. its not hard to figure out what they are up to.
3. i dont need to address but yes, they are always switching up tactics. and like i said before theres some psychological element added because we cant find the patterns they are looking for in order to circumvent them, being scared of botting is what they want, they want you to stop, making you doubt the software is one way to get their goal met.
4. the fact that ive been dropping into threads and outlining the with the exact same detail as i just gave into what they are doing IS addressing the issue. bossland just runs the place, and is an experienced gold farmer himself, but just because he runs the place dosnt make him the expert on whats going on. fpsware, apoc, tony and myself have all answered posts just like these. i dont know if your looking for some kind of admission of guilt or what, but its not a banwave, so there's no need to address something that's not happening.

If HB/GB was being detected in some way, dont you think we would see much more than 1,2 or even 3 susp/ban threads being made per day here ?
Scare tactics.
To me Blizzard is hitting those involved in either generating a lot of gold or ruining the game economy and those are which consist most of the bans (apart from the obvious dudes who make no effort in hiding their botting properly).
Blizzard doesnt like botters, but they do like the smell of new accounts, expansion and the sweetness of a monthly sub.

blizzard holding back on the bans and then doing them in small waves is scaring the community.
basically their making more people hesitant to stop botting, and in doing so, we are basically doing blizzards job at stopping botters, all by ourselves.
all these threads about "is it detected?" and "gonna stop botting for awhile.", are all what blizzard is trying to do.

alot of people that get banned get quite frustrated, and tend to exaggerate and stretch the actual truth, not all, but most.

Blizzard very well maybe cleaning up a backlog, stepping up enforcement, or whatever, but none of those things are at all related to HB or GB.
It sucks that people are getting banned, I lost one too, but that doesn't change the fact that this is par for the course and you gotta suck it up. If you don't want to get banned then don't break the rules.

PVP Tool is again hit harder so are they detected too? NO
I just think they do a lot of Data Mining for example how many Nodes did you Gather per Day, How many Mobs did you kill and so on.
And I belive in that Data Mining because US is hit a lot harder than EU...

what shadows says here is so true. and tbh i hope it does stop many of the people botting that have no business doing so because they lack the mindset needed for it. often these very people brag to others (friends, guildies etc) who then in turn report them everyday for botting,etc. and then wonderwhy they got banned or suyspended.
people are careless, and do not like to admit they are at fault for getting suspended (a major problem people in our world have today in general is the lack of accepting blame and owning up to what they themselves have done or caused). its not a banwave, period.
most of these kids crying about this have never seen a true banwave, because they have only been botting for a year or less. a true banwave is when every account (or nearly every account) that was running a particular bot/hack/***** during a specific time period gets banned. this detection or change in their way of detecting it can go on for weeks without anyone knowing it, until the day comes they decide to hit the good ole ban button and shut off several hundred thousand accounts at once. i have seen it happen on more than one occasion.
my guess is that a ton of these people crying, botted the crap out of their accounts at the start of cata, using this or other bots, got reported, and are now paying the price for it.

Funny when you talk about HB in any way but good... your posts are deleted, topics locked... but YOU are the reason they are even here! If you don't like the support, don't buy the product. There is other choices which aren't so robust... but you can at least get a word in edgewise.
