Guys,
I know everyone is upset about what happened, some got their main accounts banned.
Wether this is because Honorbuddy was flawed, or because Warden got an promotion, it doesn't matter much.
In the end of the day we have ourselves to blame for the risk we took.
The main question is, does appealing help lower the ban time?
And if it did, how did you do it?
I've seen reports of players that got 6 months on their first warning, this seems very harsh to me.
I remember back in the days (2-3 years ago) you'd get banned for 72 hours maximum or even 48 hours.
Is there something we can do? Do they show empathy?
Your thoughts?
Regards,
Piet
EDIT:
This is the appeal I sent in:

Dear Blizzard,
First and foremost I want to apologize for my recent behaviour regarding World of Warcraft. I acknowledge the fact that I have violated the terms I agreed to follow and I deeply regret my actions regarding this matter...
World of Warcraft plays a large role in my life. I have met friends here, play with them, own a guild and spend alot of time each day to make sure I socialise enough and to make sure all my characters have enough oil to continue doing their garrison shipyards.
As you can see in my account history, I'm a player that has been around since Vanilla, I've seen everything, been everywhere.
I've met alot of different kind of people in World of Warcraft, some good, some bad. I've met a particular person that suggested me to use a certain software to make my life ingame easier. Without being aware of the consequences I decided to give it a try.
This was one of the worst decisions I have made in my life, I should've known better and shouldn't have trusted strangers, as of now it feels like a chunk of my life has been torn away.
The only one to blame is myself, I have taken this the hard way and deeply regret it...
I appeal to you, my heroes, the people that made my life more colourful, more fun, and allowed me to meet friends from all over the world.
Is there a possibility to lower the time that my account is closed?
I am very excited for the coming expansion, just started leveling a shaman with a good friend of mine (which I have to dissapoint aswell) and with my 6 months suspension, I will be missing the launch.
That saddens me deeply, I've always been there at every launch of a new expansion and to miss this one would be heartbreaking.
Again, I know apologizing doesn't matter now, since the rules have been violated. But if it does matter, I sincerely apologise and hopefully you will grant me a final chance to prove my good will and fight the legion to help save Azeroth.
Thanks in advance and kind regards,

We have detected botting activity on this account and sent you an email with details on its suspension. This issue is closed and we will not accept further appeals.
Sounds awefully scripted and automated to me!
