is a detection based ban appealable?

curious, how much of a chance do i have to appeal my specific ban? i just got hit with one of the 6 month bans, i've never sold gold, never used hb for ANYTHING other than enyo/lazyraider while 100% supervised with CR's to do casual raiding and farming, i don't auction much and i can see no reason why i'd ever be reported, even if this isn't detection based, what's the best method to go about appealing this if i can?
