IP Bans?

I heard that when they ban accounts they ban the IP.
I have a main account that I play on myself and an account I bot on. If the bot account gets banned will it affect my main?

A tip is to get a third account that u sell all stuff on. And when it?s sold and u want to transfer gold to your main account u can trade like lets say a green weapon for the gold. It?s pretty much impossible to get banned for this. cus u can just say that u have no idea who this guy is and u just sold a green item to him.
