IP Ban?

So I had 2 bots running. Both were leveling and when one of them reached level 100. I used BGFarmer in Ashran. 40 minutes later 5 month ban and 5 month ban for the 2nd bot. That's expected when you're botting. No big deal (well it is...but whatever). My main account also got a 5 month ban. My main account had no affiliation with bots. The main account was never logged on while botting. Nor was the battle.net launcher even on while botting. I literally did not use my main account whatsoever while botting and did not associate it with any of the characters. Not even in the same guild or traded or auctions etc. Yet somehow got a ban for 5 months.

Could they possible be IP Banning? I thought they stopped doing that. Maybe I'm wrong.

It is machine/wow install ban instead of IP address one, actually.

Check the ban mail please, and consider to write a solid appeal. At least on the main + leveling accounts.

Are all accounts running under same payment method/name/...?

There must be some connection between the accounts. I never had a ban only bc of same ip/name/payment. (Botting since 10 years) All accounts on same PC same battlenet.

But i also never bot in pvp...

Do what I plan to do if I come back ever. Leave your main account inactive and just use extra accounts on same Bnet to play. They get banned oh well, you only lose some money. Still not sure thats the best way, but it seems the only real and practical way.

Could they? Yeah. But, IP bans (and hardware bans for the matter, which in most cases are hard to separate since not a lot of people use several comps) were mostly reserved for heavy offenders (gold selling, big farms, accounts offering services and gold trough trade, guild bank owners with many bots on the guild...)

If your main account doesn't fit any of these criteria, you should try an appeal. But, you are not the first, and probably won't be the last, to be banned without having botted at all. That's an additional risk to assess.

So if you have 2 bnet accounts....you bot on one and zero on other both get banned ??!?! since when ? didnt they said only the boted accounts get banned ?

Im saying because this shit just happend to me too.....and i didnt boted on MAIN account ...diferent bnet. Jeez i just farmed byt hand LOREMASTER....fuck this shit really
