Internet Connection?

Does internet speed affect the way Pokefarmer runs? Or, should I say, is Pokefarmer heavily reliant on a good internet connection? Reason why I ask is because I run Pokefarmer on two different computers at different times. My work computer has a great internet connection and is running build 86. No issues. My home laptop has a decent internet connection and, no matter what build I have used, it has issues. Mainly, the biggest issue is that Pokemon will appear and disappear quickly. Basically all I can do is loot Pokestops. Anyone else experience this? Is this a server issue?

how fast is your internet? Chk speedtest.net. But my guess it's something else then an isp problem.

I get 8MB/s here at home and around 12 at work. I wouldn't think that would be an issue, but something is obviously creating issues while running on this computer.
