Instant Crash on Start Up

I haven't bought a pass yet, if that matters. I want to make sure I can run PF before I spend the money.
When I run the executable, it loads for two seconds, then crashes after checking the version.
Windows 7 64 bit. I downloaded version 1.0.148. I'm using expressVPN. Firewall (sonicwall) is at the network level so I can't change that, if that's my issue.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

This should be in the support forum. They ask you to post your log report from the game, to help them. There is a guide stickied to the forum topic.

I'm having the same issue as you on my windows 7 lap top. One of the mods suggested I try this:


remove:

- microsoft visual c++ 2005-2015 x86 redistributable



restart your pc,
download the installationwizard http://updates.buddyauth.com/BuddyWizard.zip
run them as administrator.
after wizard installation is done, run windows update. And install all updates for .net & c++
install https://www.thebuddyforum.com/BuddyWizard.exe
restart
