Hey!

Just wanted to hear if anyone have any experience with this? (as in running a mix of IB+DB)

Yesterday i began testing with IB + manual tank.

A few minor glitches, though these were because of not properly made AutoEquip configurations. AE at one moment thinks staff is better then sword + shield then the next moment thinks shield is better then staff. So when i turned AE off it was working out great. And a few missing black-spots. Since i knew i had bots on my tail i always then walk in a fashion where i know they follow me in a way they do not get stuck. Which then brings me to the next point.

ToDo:
  • Proper AutoEquip profiles.
  • Proper Instancebuddy profiles.
  • Proper Dungeonbuddy profiles.

The concept is running 5 chars as "hidden" as possible from the general public. At same time is running instance a great way to do tradeskilling. Skinning - Leatherworking, Clothing. And first-aid. Nothing huge but a way to get rid of some of the supplies. Instead of flooding the AH all the time with huge amount of leather / cloth. All items to be sold will be sent to a mule character on the same account as each bot. So i will not be running with 1 central mule that will sell everything on AH, again to keep a low profile. (with a good auctionhouse plugin i can sell all items in a few minutes)

Xp wise its also very good, when i ran manually. (4 instancebuddys who was tagging along while i tanked, honestly the bots play better then what most people do in instances)

yeah great idea for sure!
A dungeonbuddy-profile itself (for tanking) would be really easy to do - run in - clear - run out - reset - loop.

But their are couple of things which are needed for "Instancebuddy+Dungeonbuddy=OWNAGE":

* How do you get your group to auto-requeue? - tank? -np but the IB crew is tricky???
* If you dont want to auto-requeue them then how do get the IB-guys go in and out of the dungeon?
* remember that the dungeon has to be empty for a reset (which is possible with DB)

I thought about it with running two chars (80) through utgard all day just to farm entchanting mats and frostweave...

From what i saw when testing yesterday. as soon as instance is "done". All except 1 IB bot leave the instance. As soon as "leader/tank" leaves the last one leaves as well. (i placed all char at their trainers to keep em all up-to-date) when i then requeue on on my tank they will then join again. (IB supports pre-set-teams, so they do not leave then join random groups)

The DB post says DB can reset instance then start over.

This sounds quite interesting. Might going to try this out later today :)

Oh i almost forgot to mention, in 1 hour~ in effective time of doing this i made 4 lvls (mid 30's) So the XP is very nice.

ok, did i get you right? - db can trigger the requeue event? That would be awesome the only thing you woul have to do is check if all of your group are out of the instance and then requeue!

I have yet to test with DB, from what i understand DB does not use the ingame instance interface, but walks to instances, which is kinda bad news, however adding "use instance interface to enter instance" should be easy to add :)

If i add such a feature i will send all custom code i make to maybe then its up to him if it should be released to everyone. As I will not "re-release" any code that is not mine.

thats nice if you have a full group of bots. i would like to farm an instance with only 2 chars. would it be possible to let them both run out and then wait for each other to reset and then start all over again?

Thats the idea yes.

I'm quite sure a 3 man team could perform quite well, Tank+ DPS + Hybrid healer.
