Installer doesnt work only the Zip works

so I try to use the installer but then it tells I already have it installed and that I must use the control panel to uninstall it in order to install the newer one. so i go there and I cant find hearthbuddy anywhere so how do i fix this i want to use the installer version so much

of course I did.. but sadly nothing is there I see honorbuddy and DB but there is no hearthbuddy so its telling me I already have something installed when clearly I dont.
