So with the expansion approaching I was looking at picking up RB to level the last 15 or so levels i need to max out, as well as doing the metric ton of story quests that you must finish to be able to access the new areas (5 content patches worth to be exact).

my question is this, assuming I only bot while I'm actually at my computer, granted i'd be doing other things, how reliable is it for doing the story quests + side ones/fates to level? I'd probably manually do the dungeons that're required if only for the visability of botting in one, especially with the stupid long queue times for dps wouldn't want to leave it to chance...

I've got a lifetime honor buddy because the product was good, I've tried exile buddy but found it not what i was expecting, wondering how RB stacks up feature/profile wise

Fate Bot can grind out those last 15 levels for you pretty efficiently as long as your settings are good - I did 1-50 on several secondary classes with Fate Bot alone, so it works well. Doing the official questing profile pack will likely cause you more trouble than just firing up Fate Bot since you're not running it on a fresh character, so if your focus is to go from 35-50 as fast as you can, I'd stick with Fate Bot. You can always go back after Heavensward releases and modify the 15-50 questing profile by removing quests you've done to ensure it picks up where it should.

HOWEVER, IN ORDER TO PROCEED WITH THE 2.1-2.55 MAIN SCENARIO QUESTS, THE ULTIMATE WEAPON MUST BE COMPLETED. THIS IS THE LAST MAIN SCENARIO QUEST IN THE 2.0 STORYLINE AND IS COMPLETED BY RUNNING THE 15-50 QUESTING PROFILE. YOU'LL EITHER BE COMPLETING THE 2.0 STORYLINE BY HAND, OR EDITING THE 15-50 QUESTING PROFILE TO BE ABLE TO RUN IT ON YOUR LEVEL 35 CHARACTER.

Completing the 2.55 quest line will get you into Heavensward and I plan to have those done by the end of the week/weekend.

Remember you need to finish the main story quest to do ANYTHING in FFXIV.

So getting the last levels and hitting 50 while it's idea...you will be doing quests that is giving wasted EXP.
