Dear Community,

In response to the recent ban reports and issues, we want to inform you of some special updates.

Since the beginning, we have been working on emulating a 1:1 identicial client. That is not easy, but we believe it's possible.

We're aware of the new captcha system Niantic has added. To the best of our knowledge, it is not currently finished or live. However, we will do our best to handle it if it affects Pokefarmer. The same goes for the new "buddy" Pokémon that Niantic will probably be rolling out around the same time they make the captcha system live.

With today's update, we are happy to announce that we fixed a lot of possible API issues.

  • Pokefarmer now emulates device information and satellite information correctly. You can even edit your device information or use random given devices in your Pokefarmer settings.
  • Pokefarmer now emulates altitude correctly.
  • Pokefarmer now uses a correct request identifier to talk with Pokemon GO game servers.
  • Pokefarmer now emulates the location backlog correctly.
  • Pokefarmer is aware of all Pokemon GO 0.35 changes now and emulates a 0.35 client.
  • Pokefarmer is aware of the new Captcha thing (which is still not live from Niantics side!)
  • Pokefarmer is aware of the new daily limits on Pokestops.

Besides these things there are several more changes we do not want to point out to prevent Niantic watching in our "bag of tricks".

We assume that some of these things triggered their heuristics to get your accounts flagged and banned. It is not possible to confirm this because we cannot look at their servers what they are doing.

However, Pokefarmer is almost identical compared to their client now and we are still working on finishing it completly. You can expect another security update in the following days.

For those guys that is confused about the mentioned new "buddy" Pokémon. What is that?

Niantic did not mention every feature that was added to the current released client. There is some hidden feature. Something you can expect in the following updates. After first analyzis we assume
that this feature is some kind of pet that follows you when you, Trainers are travelling through the world and catch Pokemon.

You can select a Buddy Pokemon from your Pokemon storage. That is not releasable to the Professor anymore, it cannot be deployed to Gyms and it receives a special type of candy and
it stores the kilometres you have walked with that Buddy.

Besides this there are different "sizes" available and it will probably just walk beside you, is flying near you or just sits on your shoulder.

Seems to be a cool, not yet released feature we don't want to hide from you as Niantic did it.

We thank everyone for their patience and support.

Kind Regards,
The Buddy Team

What is the pokestop daily limit thanks ? And can you still use car travel and use up that limit in say 4hrs, or do you need to go back to walking to take 24hrs to reach that limit ?

When everyone else is gone and left for dead,
Pokefarmer will still prevail.

Very cool!

Is there any chance of incorporating Google's Elevation API to automatically set the altitude?
