I decided to run an experiment with just tyreal for now, maybe others later(after a few months), but I am only gonna use tyreal with no plugins at 15 tps with only one character and see if he gets banned. I don't wanna get banned and in fact will try everything in my power to avoid detection, I just want to see exactly how long (if at all) it takes to get banned only using tyreal and no interrupts or plugins active. I recently got banned and I was using tyreal and lazy raider but I guess I could see if it was maybe a delayed ban from some other time that I may have used kicks leveling profile. I will post the results if I get banned within a few minutes. This isnt to discredit HB in any way, its more to help people to know how detectable it is. The reason I am posting about it before hand is so no one can discredit my findings later and say I was probably using something else.
 
This post has no point , Tyrael doesn't have the fault of your ban :S because I use it all the whole days , arenas, raids, flex, lfr ... no single ban, and another thousands of buddys here, the same than me, you only go to confuse the new users, because your report is not valid, you cannot make a theory only based on one experience, you can calculate your bad luck or what are your making bad but not the "how detectable it is" tyrael (You can do it, yes, but you must ask all the persons of the comunity using tyrael, and when you have all the responses, make the calcules, so..)
 
He never stated that Tyrael was the fault of his ban, please read the post carefully before acting a critic. He is saying that where most of the blame is going to interrupts or poor management of the bot settings and supervision, he is saying that it is more than that. Also, it's more than "one experience". If you would go to ban reports you would have clear evidence of that.
 
It's a flawed test. Tyrael does nothing more then execute what the routine tells him to do. If you get banned, it is NOT Tyrael, but something the routine did.

except that if I get banned then I will have narrowed it down to two things which is a good thing for some, I am using only Tyreal at 15 tps on the "Routine withheld" routine for a "class withheld".
By the way people, just a little update, I have been using HB so far for pretty much the entire 2 days minus the time I sleep of course but while I am on WOW, its on, when I load a different character however I shut down the entire thing. No bans or anything suspicious as of yet. So far though I have been Hand farming with just the "Routine withheld" routine on timeless isle and for Skyshards in the valley I probably farmed around 4 hours yesterday and 2 hours the day before. I know I dont have to tell anyone this but I like to keep it as full of detail as possible. I will stress and re-say that there is no automated farming involved before people think my farming is from GB or any other farmer, its all hand farmed and using luck potions.

try to figure out what the ... it is that they are doing. God this board is going down more and more
every day.
 
I never been banned. only 1 suspension because I was gatherbotting 24/7 with no random hotspot plugin.

Now mostly use Tyrael, its actually the safest way to bot imo.

For better results on it, you should write a test plan with the scenarios and possible variables you are whiling to cover, and for it to be valid as cause eliminator you should start on a new piece of hardware that never touched WoW before and under a new IP.

The results could tell us a lot, I believe from my observations that it's easier to be flagged as bot if you run routines under a DPS class were the competition seems to be bigger in terms of e-penis, those who gets mad for not winning on the DPS charts are the hardcore players that will have the regular bases knowledge to suspected that someone is using a bot running a combat routine.

Try to detail your tests here and I see where I can help with suggestions, I mostly work as a programmer and software quality analyst, kinda involved in that exclusion/elimination testing processes.

No. That's not it. Users only read half of the stuff, hence I have to protect my own botbase for morons who don't understand what you do. It has nothing to do with being a fanboy.

Well I have never been banned till 4 days ago and been a botter since my join date and didnt do anything past my normal uses, making me want to do this experiment.

My current test plan is raids and farming by hand, only using one routine and one botbase (one of the ones I was using while I was banned) and having them running the entire time I am on wow while doing things.
 
Farming by hand still just irritates jerk off players and they report you just because they can. Which is what happened to me. I got booted off in LFR and they said that what they found was right but reduced it to 72 hours. I dont think they saw HB I think it was a scare tactic in my case. I had been using a treasure potion in Deepholm and not ninjaing anyones stuff, but people were around trying for the same mobs and its just too risky to even farm heavily by hand. Its ridiculous :-\ This was a while ago though Ive used the Tyrael/CR thing in LFR and instances and on Timeless Isle since then and no issues. Though I admit I get nervous now lol. I agree with Nomnomnom that it isn't Tyrael they'd notice it would be the CR if it's heavily used maybe the same rotation over and over no changes could maybe raise some red flags ... no one has even came near me while farming, and there is no one else that I have seen except for one alliance that ganked me when I was picking up mobs and he was mining and saw me.
 
just an update on this, I am still currently doing this but now after a month I have expanded it to using tyreal with other routines as well, but only one for now and that is the tuanha monk special edition routine (the one I was using when I got the 72 hr suspension), been using the monk routine now for 15 days with the same set up as before. I have not been banned or suspended yet, I will not go fully automated at all. I am gonna keep this to only using tyreal and slowly introduce other routines as time passes, if I get banned or suspended, we will know its not only automated that can be detected. Of course they can be detected if blizz scans the processes but I dont believe thats a 24-7 system at this point and I dont think it scans everyone, maybe only the suspicious ones.

Eh no, HB is cloaked from processing scans so they won't ever see HB in your process list other than yourself.

If you get banned during using Tyrael / raid bot only, you're either using

1) Instant interrupts (Player Reports)
2) Doing stupid stuff like, facing the mob the wrong way and HB tries to attack the mob using abilities which results in a weird animation stuck. (Player Reports)
3) You're lying and used Gather-bot / Questing bot / Grinding Bot.

unless its recently been changed, I dont think Hb is cloaked.
