Hi,

After being hit by the banwave (big deal, you knew what you were doing now deal with it) I considered the reasons why blizzard went on a killing spree at this time, up until early this morning I thought they were butt-hurt about losing the court case, but that might not be the case, earlier today I found out another 6 people where banned on my guild, and there is reports that a lot of guilds on Silvermoon won't be able to raid for a few weeks at least, well this lead me to believe that this was a intentional move to drag what is already considered to many dead content. Having guilds stall with progression means blizzard can "strategically" delay patch 6.2 so people can finish this tier. This will not only give blizzard a way out it also clears them of the blame of another long ass freaking boring tired of content there is nothing to do expansion.

Even after this could be possible on theory, it is very unlikely, simply because while disabling part of the raid guilds, they do not "delay" the progress, but instead stop it for tons of guilds, and as we know stop=new wave of canceled subscriptions.

Well it does at it doesn't. My guild is already sorting RAF accounts so everyone can get quickly to level 100 again. But then we will have a few weeks of gearing before we can even think of entering mythic again. specially since we lost 4 healers

I think its an unintended consequence. I doubt they've planned this all the way through the way OP is thinking. I think they waited way too long to deal with bots. They let them run rampant for years and now it's become too little too late. There will be a portion of the gamers who will never spend their time grinding and playing that stupid game without automation. They will lose a lot of subs probably in a few hundreds of thousands and that's a lot of revenue. But Blizzard has gone through worse things with this game (at one point less than 5 mil subs) and I doubt a few thousand botters not playing are going to break the game and in the long run I think it will be fine.

From our POV I think the HB guys will figure out a new way for us to bot. We'll go back in make gold, make money, make whatever and enjoy it a lot more than the average shmuck that spends 8 hours a day pressing one button.

-they'll make many players rebuy all expansions and add gametime to it
-after 6 months it'll look like wow has increased in subs (?)

i'm pretty sure my prediction i posted months ago about Blizzard getting ready to go ham on botters was correct... chinajade removed the post for "trolling" though.

anyway, it's pretty god damn simple to figure out what's going on:

Blizzard wants that cash money dolla bills. duh. blizzard can without a doubt make it so a botter never exists again. everyone says "NAH DUDE HONORBUDDY IS HELLA SMART AND CAN OUTSMART THEM" but that's a bunch of bullshit dude. they have allowed botting to continue. before it didn't really matter if casual botters farmed some gold every now and then. now it matters a whole lot.

i was laughed at when i said duping is out of control and that i'm able to dupe basically endless amounts of mounts on any server as well

they will make an awesome amount of $ off of people rebuying WoW so they don't have to wait and then they will make an awesome amount of money off of people not wanting to touch HB again and buying WoW Tokens in the long run.

I do think this does have a big part to play also. They will hit hard on people buying gold, selling gold more so then before that is certain, infact I was already nervous about buying so I started farming my own gold haha
