If you don't want to get banned....

Would be nice if you could deliver some more detailed information about your Problem/possible reasons why you've got banned/what concerns you to say so

Looking at the ban reports, all of them have one thing in common. They used Gatherbuddy.

I don't use it, and i'm fine I haven't been banned. I won't touch it.. ever.

Just look at the ban reports, and people who say they've been banned and look to whether or not they've used gatherbuddy.

9 times out of 10 they used gather buddy.


edit: I'm pretty sure its because the speed at which this bot gathers nodes. No human can compete with the speed it gathers them in. So they will probably ban you on Nodes per hour. my guess.

Close the thread if you want, i'm just trying to raise peoples awareness to the fact that people who are using GB2... are getting banned.

You can continue your condescending comments towards me all you want, I'm just trying to raise peoples awareness. I see a lot of ban reports with people complaining about a ban, and then I look up and see that they were using GB2.

Sure, most people blame GBuddy, but actually it's their own fault. By using Gatherbuddy itself ->NOONE<- get's banned. Try loading an empty profile and idle 24/7 somewhere with GB running. You won't get banned. People use Public Routes that are well known everywhere and get Player reported. When flying trough Pandaria and watching people I can judge within a second wether it's a bot or not. (Same for BG's)
 
You´re wrong! If you don`t want to get banned, don`t bot!

Everybody blames it on gatherbuddy, but its not gatherbuddy that gets you banned. Its the way how stupid the users of gb are. And I really mean it like that. You bottet too long, too obvious and got fucked. Simple as that.
Of course you can use a different totally imba ban-avoiding botbase or a different bot, but if you do the same as you did with gb, you will also get fucked.
How does someone get banned?`Do you think a GM watches your toon for 30 minutes until something bottish happens? Then kindly asks you if you might be a bot? Surely not. Most of the gb bans are auto bans. Account X gathered Item XY too many times in the last X hours. -Autoban-

And yes, thats how it works! Check out the Blizz forums. There are a lot of non botters that got banned because of exactly that, because they were farming stuff for a mount and shit like that. Blizzard respondet, that that is an automated software and recommended to run an instance in between to avoid that automation.

Another ban reason.... Players report you. Too many player reports, a gm will read them. If they say the same: ban.
Why do players report you? Well because you got stuck, your toon did stupid shit or you stole their ore, they followed you and you did not answer to whispers... Don`t be stupid, its so simple to avoid all that.

I see so many bots especially in pandaria that are so obvious, I really hope they get banned, because the users are just to stupid to set their bots up. They just buy hb, load a profile and hit start and let it run for 20hours. After that they start a thread here "gb is bad, I got banned becuase of that shit."


The Problem are not eaven the profiles, I have 3 Accounts running the same Profiles for over 5 months now daylie just using gb and those are eaven public profiles

Wrong. I think you will find you can get alot more NPH if you play by hand.
 
Gathering by hand is much faster than using a bot. Before i started botting, I used several Addons like Gathermate, Routes and a map overlay. Especially If you use boost Items like the Golem and the Herb gloves, Gathering by hand is incredible fast.

When I play my main by hand and do some dailies or quests and just collect the ores and herbs that popup on the minimap, I am always amazed how many ores I have in my pocket within a few minutes. If the bot would be that fast, I would have reached goldcap within a few days.
 
I got a better sollution for you if you dont want to get banned.

Dont bot.

Most reports have shown that majority of bans happen due to people using bots.

Seriously though, hit the nail right on the head. The only thing I would add is don't use your botting account exclusively for botting, or at least mix it up some. People reporting you gets Blizzards attention, the fact that you haven't left a zone in months, only log on to gather ore/herbs is what gets people the ban hammer.
 
Actually its very easy to not get banned.

Avoid the auto ban triggers. No one knows how they exactly are. But as long as you don`t do anything longer than a humen would do, you are safe.

Avoid reports. The easiest way is to avoid other players. If they don`t see you, they won`t report you.
 
I just got banned for using GB. However, I admit it was my fault. I've been botting for awhile now with no issues, but started using GB to farm GIO and got too greedy because of all the gold I was making. If you run it for 3-4 hours, you're probably fine. 11-12 hours: its only a matter of time :D Its not GB itself that gets you banned, its the people that get greedy and run it all the time.
