If I get caught botting on WoW, do they ban Battle.net account or just WoW account?

Just wondering.. I was going to get back into the game, but I got Overwatch on the same account now. Would I be better off botting on a separate account instead? Do they do full account bans of just ban on WoW?

i have been ban twice on my account 6 month and 18 month , but the battle.net is still available with starcraft and overwatch on it

Thanks for the response! That's surprising.. so Blizz won't mess with your other games at all?? Were those bans on the same WoW account as well? I thought getting caught for botting was a permaban.

Why would they?

A remote possibility they might lock/ban your entire battle net accounts with wow that have a common link in your botting activities but they won't extend that to your other games on the same battle net I have not seen it myself nor have I read it on the forums.

I always had only one account main. Once i was ban, i instantly buyed another WoW and add it to the same Bnet account, banned again and so fast. I buyed a whole new Bnet with whole new wow, i'm mixing playing and botting for an amount of 17-18h/day and still havent got banned for like 2 month continuously..

I do think once the bnet is flagged as potential botter, they keep watching on you..

I am sure any other wow accounts are watched a little more closely if one of your accounts on your battle.net are banned for botting.

They do not auto ban any other license on the battle.net as they treat each game seperately.

If they banned your starcraft, heroes of the strom, overwatch, diablo and hearthstone. You would most likely never come back. Ban a wow account? you'll probably buy another.

Depends, they can ban your whole bnet if they want (has happened to me multiple times) this is pretty uncommon though - usually from GM investigations
But generally they only ban the wow account which was caught botting, not the whole bnet account

Rule of thumb:

Botting for Personal Use: Standard 6mo/18mo/perma (Same bnet, different wow licenses). This is generally the result of standard warden detection, and occasionally player reports.

Botting for Profit: Perma, Bnet account wide. This is generally the result of a manual GM investigation. Sometimes prompted by detailed player reports (be wary of scorned AH sellers)
