If blizzard implements captcha is demonbuddy doomed?

If blizzard implements captcha to create games how will demonbuddy be able to counter this? If at all. Im worried. Although im sure it would end up being a blessing. The game got ruined by this site.
 
They won't because it would greatly inconvenience non-bots.

then again, D3's dev team is pretty retarded so they might.
 
If it is only something i have to do once a day, one could take a screenshot and send it by email, so that you can respons with the right word/letters, or some captcha you can parse using OCR
 
Captcha reading and writing is possible. I used to bot a Korean RPG called Silkroad, and they had it implemented.

Is Demonbuddy doomed if they do this? Maybe, depends on if they are willing to implement a captcha within demonbuddy.

Is reading/answering captcha possible? Totally.
 
Blizzard would never do that. Never.

However assuming the impossible happens and they do, there is always a way around it, and it would end up inconveniencing legit players more than bots.
 
I really doubt blizzard would do this... Have they posted something about thinking about doing it or something?

Most of the profit Blizzard makes from this game is from bots. They're never going to seriously try to stop it. Bots are a blessing to them, it's the only thing keeping this game alive at this point.

it wont but captcha isnt that hard to get passed. im sure 10000 people could easily write up a simple script.

captcha is stupid but runescape had random events for their botters, d3 could do something innovative \=
 
From doing SEO, there are tons of automated captcha solve services that you pay for per captcha.

It's actually humans filling them in for you.
 
They implemented that into Runescape classic and that sure as fuck didnt stop botting
 
it is totally depended on what kind of catchpa it will be

if they implement unique yep pretty much :)

if it be common there are paid services so no problem

I'm pretty sure you can write a program to read it better than a human can. I still find myself having to enter multiple ones in from time to time.

Captchas are a pretty dumb idea in themselves, I find alternatives like Asirra to be a much better solution as it's much harder for a human to get them incorrect(and they also happen to be harder for computers to get correct.)
 
Blizzard will never do anything that will impare game play experience. Captchas are the worse thing to implement in a game, from a gamer's perspective point of view. Hell, even i wouldn't stand it and i play like once in a couple of days for 30 mins max.
