[Idea} Instance Q, and Instance Looting

I am personally not a coder, but I still have a pretty good idea for a plugin.

We need a plugin that will continuously Q us up for a instance, and once inside a instance it will greed on all loot that drops from mobs, and boss. This will enable CC's that have the capability of instance healing to run for many hours at a time. Doing so we can let a healer instance farm all night and by the time we wake up we will have multiple badges and possibly loot.

If someone can develop this plugin it would be great!

i know i am no expert but would this kind of thing cause problems... when a party wants to rest for mana, ect... the bot would carry on, causing the other members to kick you from group.... when you dont reply... or say when theyare sorting tactics... might be ok for a DPS/Tank but other classes maybe a problem....

This is plausible by use of RAF mostly for healer and maybe for dps... So many different things can go wrong though..

It would mainly be used for healing, but not to many things could go wrong after further testing has been done. Testing would need to be done in order to determine what instance may cause problems (like running into walls or getting stuck) for the bot. Say there is a instance that we can't run we could set up the plugin to check to see what instance we are in and if its a blacklisted instance it could leave the group and re Q.

And for the looting aspect all the groups I have been in always select greed if you don't need the item so that wouldn't be a problem.

1. If you die how would you get back? Leave group res at spirit res wait 10mins and re-que?
2. Try determining what items you need and what you don't =P Might be able to modify MaiN's equip.

This would need a LOT of babysitting - not very safe to leave by itself. Would be better off with doing it yourself.

Personally, I don't see this as a viable plug-in. There are far too many things that can go wrong in an instance, the risks far outweigh the rewards.

For the last few weeks I've been running heroics with a full RAF group. I manually play the tank and the remaining slots are played by bots. But there is absolutely no way you could bot an instance suitable to your level.

I don't understand why people think you would be able to 100% bot an instance. People just expect too much. I'm waiting for the day when we receive a post like this:

" I want a bot that will turn on my computer, log into Windows, start WoW log on to it, check my mail, list all items on the auction house, form a group with myself and my other bots, run heroics all day, spend my badges on appropriate gear, oh, while you're at it go to work for me and make money as I can't be bothered doing it myself. Also fix global warming and you might as well colonise Mars for good measure."

I'm sure the original poster only had good intentions, but people are getting a little carried away with what they expect from a bot.

I might be going out on a limb here, but i think this would be the next logical step in WoW botting. (After automatic questing)
But afaik you would have to program a bot that is made specifically for instances and contain appropriate logic to make this come true.

that, by definition is what a greed roll is sir. i can't use it but me wants anyways. why would you get angry if i greed ANYTHING?

what one could do, is have it set up just to stay on top of you, positioning would suck, but if played with a ranged dps would make sense as these two roles usually prefer the same ranges. does that make sense. going to test it in some outland heroics. 80 warlock assisted by 71 shaman. should work well. hopefully.

Automatic questing was done already, ppather did this, all you had todo was to go on a website with quest ids for your race/level/zone and copy paste it into a file that ppather would read, and complete all quests there.

Quests most had to be simple as go to certain zone, kill mobs, loot, turn quest in, tho.

I tried to do random hc with druid healer and it didn't run that great, kept having to move him as was standing in wrong place. would stand on top of tank and then got killed, decided if I was going to do it again I would do my own group for raf so I could keep an eye on them all. Just need to get another account me thinks to have my five in the party.

Well, I have actually been doing this with some luck. I've been using the RAF feature on this bot, combined with an auto follow bot of a friend of mine, with an enforced follow. It doesn't use the ingame follow, it actually follows the party members coordinates.

The main problem with this is that i don't have an auto que, I honestly think if i could get the bot to just auto que for heroics it would work fine as a healer.

If it's worth risking it for you, or if your into selling accounts this is deffinently a plus. If you don't mind ruining your rep and people thinking your a little slow, this is deffinently a viable option.

-As for the if you die, if you die - Spirit res, hearth, repair, wait out Res Sickness and que Debuff. Reque.

Other then that I believe this could be a great option for the bot.

at the end all the following problems have to be solved (for ranged):
- positining in the range pulk and \ or at a position i'm not in los and in range to heal tank(could check for skills who is tank)
-if im the only ranged ... follow slow the tank .. so that i'm "behind" him and as far as possible away from mobs (there should be 2 conditions for infight and out of fight)
-quening for random
-meshing the hole inis
-maybe blackspot special areas when yx cast zx spell

thats the thinks which came in my mind

but i think at the moment there are to many variables you have to look over it ....

I have managed to run an entire heroic botting many times, particularly with my arcane mage. Set the follow distance something decent depending on who the leader is (tank do 20 yds, healer do 5ish). Obviously you can't afk bot this, but it does make it so you dont really have to play.

I had used the old hb before the follow distance was set and druid was going ok other than standing on top of tank and getting killed, Problem was that the tank was off that quick that druid got left behind and I had to move him myself.

Ok This is TOTALLY Viable for a Heal bot IF and IF you do the following.

Run it with a Wow Addon like "Loot Pass" which regulates you loot, it has a thousand variables you can configure to loot what you ant and Greed, DE. or even pass on crap u dont what.

2nd - Run it on certain SIMPLE instances, instances with crazy Boss mechanics wont work. like Trial of the crusade. you cant mount up and do the sillly fighting.

3rd - After having a simple list of the "Good" and "Bad" Instances (which really isnt THAT hard to configure) you then have it Have a mesh for each Corpse run for those Instances. -

and 4th and finally. Dont be stupid and run it for 20 hours day...
