i5-2500k to i7-4770k

Hello there -

I am currently running 8 bots on an i5-2500k, I am aware this processor is a bit outdated now, it currently operates around 70-90% using YAR and TPS 4, 425 Cache.

If I upgraded to a Haswell i7-4770k, how many bots do you think that would squeeze me out?

If anyone has any similar experiences, please do share!

10 easy with 8-10 tps. can do 12-14 with some work, OC etc.

OC the 2500k to 4.8+ Ghz and save yourself hundreds.

@ Aikido it is OC'd to 4.6ghz, my chip won't go higher stable, also have noctua-dh heatsink

Any other input? Really don't mind investing into a better CPU if it's worth it, but just have to be sure

a 3770k oc to 4.4-4.5 will run 10-12 np so i would safely assume 4770k would at the least do the same. you may even get +1/2 out of it or get to use higher settings.

Do your bots produce good numbers at 4 tps? That stat has always been important to me to keep high.

I believe so, atleast I can't notice much difference in the numbers and performance

I'm thinking I'll do the upgrade then, not a major investment, just a new mobo and CPU, if I can get 14 I'd be really happy

Xenetron, new mobo will be a waste of money. Just get used 2600k for 200+ bucks, overclock it to 4.4 or more and sell your 2500k for 150. All intel i7 have almost same performance, 4xxx cpu's have worse oc potential. You'll be able to run x1.5-2 more bots on oced i7 with ht.

Interested in TPS settings as well...I have always kept mine maxed out at 30.

Not sure about that, since the Haswell i7 4770k here is only ?249, I don't mind investing that much to get another 4-6 bots :|

Its funny you say my post is lame, while telling this guy to throw away $200. How stupid do you think he is? A 2600K is going to do dickall difference. Also, I cant help if youre bad at technical stuff, that doesnt make me lame, it makes you an ignorant fanboy.
