Alright so I've been taking time off from making profiles but now I'm getting to the point where I want to expand my reach within the community. What I'm looking to find out is how to go about learning the code for the various types of profiles and what not. Honestly I've been making stuff with combinations other profiles editing them with trial and error to suit my needs lol. But I'd really like to get some deeper knowledge so I can actually help out more if problems start popping up or just to build more awesome profiles. I haven't seen much in the ways of guides for doing this accept the one Kick put up a long time back about Grinding, Questing, and either Fishing or Gathering (i haven't checked it out for months so idk if its updated or w.e) that and I saw one for how to build CCs (which i will learn after working on profile codes).

Not entirely sure what to search the forums for/ where to look. So if someone could explain to me where I might find these resources I would much appreciate it. Oh and please dont be vague and half-ass answer my questions please, give me as much information as you possibly can otherwise refer me elsewhere if what you are offering is incomplete!

Thanks!

honestly don't waste your time with xml... go for C#

use cng's basic CC template and make a CC (hours upon hours of hitting your head on the desk) ... but after a week or 2 you will be extremely satisfied (and probably a little pissed off too =P )

read the guides in the guide section i think there is also some stuff how to learn the crap you want

Hows that suppose to help with learning other profiles lol

The only way of learning how to create profiles is really to just look at how other people have solved a quest etc. The absolute best thing though is to have someone available to you who knows how to create profiles where you just bombard him with questions.

I did create this a while ago, maybe it contains something you didn't know:

Thanks, I had a feeling that this may be the case but i was hoping for some sort of code database much like when you go to learn web design and stuff

I can do gathering, grinding, and other ones I've just never tried PB or QB so I'll work on those for a while.

ah PB ... now that's something I haven't messed around with (haven't gotten the time)
Questing is pretty straight forward until you get to the 'fun' quests... and then it gets hectic from there
