DAMNNNNN BRO that sucks!! Yea man I've been avoiding N than like the plague, lol White Knighters out there all over the place looking to snitch someone out...

Indeed, this is why I avoid N than, on my server people even coordinate the white knight bullshit. they set up parties just to catch bots, I guess they think they are the Eorzean police or something.

I still bot Nthan from 45-53/4. After that I switch to Churning Mists, since a level 55+ in Nthan sets off a lot of alarm bells, especially since the fate buff. Even without flying I'm getting ~300k exp/hr in CM, which is about the same as in N than. Obviously, ymmv based on server pop, time of day, class, gear, chocobo level, and RB settings.

Also, consider switching activities periodically. I'm online almost 24/7, but alternate between fating, gathering, and grinding mats, and crafting/raiding when I'm actually at my computer.

if we have to skip N.thanalan then how do we safely bot past that level range?
Lower zones, such as Camp Dragonhead or others have potential to do well, despite being slower than CCP.

^ This.

I have just about all my Jobs to 60. What I did was bot in NT only off peak hours, never the weekend, and blacklisting DD fates. While I was playing, I would be active doing fates in some of the new zones, anything to level my character faster while I was actually playing.

I think the least time spent in NT the better, on top of that SQENIX can take a look at my logs and see that I was active in other areas while leveling, making their case less likely that I was botting. Good to know if i do get caught I won't get perma-banned though :)

Yep, it's "cool" they actually give you one chance. Guess you'll be safer on those accounts now :P

Is that so? Where do you put your bot moghome or zenith? I tried running fatebot there but it just blacklists pretty much al lthe fates because it cant find any paths.

It blacklists a lot of them. However each fate gives like triple the exp of fates in Nthan, so the numbers even out.

Just curious, how long were you in NT for? I'm no expert, but I just don't see how SE can conjure up any legitimate evidence against you for botting when there's nothing to detect on their side. The only legal defense they have is "well we saw them in NT for like, 3 days straight without break so we figured that's good enough to surmise that he's botting".

Had something interesting happen. I left my bot on for a good 3 hours unattended, and when I came back it was in a party with one person. Any possible way that could happen?

He is there botting 24/7. 24hours a day for 7 days a week. On top of he probably has his bots grouped together and they are likely all using zekken and the same fate bot base. Which means they are all moving in unison. I leave an area if I see more than one other person doing the same things as me. Even with different settings than another person I constantly see myself taking the exact same path with them on top of me. It just stands out, also there is no legal standpoint. In their terms of use it says they can remove your access to your license to use their software for any reason. Its that fancy catch all phrase. So if they see something fishy they will just call it what they want and suspend/ban you.

Its rare for somebody to be banned in this game for botting without being involved in RMT. But when you run multiple bots doing the exact same thing in a very public area that involves a lot of other players it begins to get noticed.

I've seen before where I was grinding stuff and a FC member sends me a party request and sometimes the bot will accept it and other times it will ignore it. One of the new white knight abilities is trying to send party invites. They likely caught on that opening trade gets them blacklisted and can also get them suspended for harassment.

Always use Companion in healing stance and you will not get any party invites, since you are already in a party

you can also use /busy to prevent invites and tells.

The server region seems to enter into it a lot also. I've got alts on a few servers to play with different groups of friends and I notice that NA servers tend to be far more uptight and full of white knights and SJW stuff.

I suspect if we do some research these white knights will be mostly from US servers.

EDIT: Tips I have though to remain discrete though:
  • Don't enable busy
  • Disable AFK
  • Join a free company
  • Put some thought into a name
  • Enable a title in your name
  • Have a battle class levelled
  • Don't use under levelled equipment
  • Occasionally do hunt callouts
  • Don't do one activity for too long or mixed it up
  • Logout every so often to make it look like you're sleeping
