Okay...
I got banned near the end of MoP for farming ore and herbs. I was instantly perm banned but I appealed it and got turned over to 72 hour suspension instead. I even got an email saying this is a FINAL WARNING. It bothered me so much that I made a new account under the same battle.net and started raffing there with a friend and I would slowly move my toons from my main account over to this second "clean" account. Cause I have a lot of stuff such as CM gear, special mounts and a lot of my characters mean a lot to me, personally but also due to the massive time investment (before) and during my botting period ofcourse.
But as you all know how tedious and grinding leveling up is. Repeatative quests, kill this/ collect that etc. I started botting on my second account as well. Assuming this would be fairly "safe" as long as I monitored it. Never had any whispers or reports as far as I know. All I did on both my accounts was botting leveling and Garrisons (and sometimes a CR in LFR due to boredom or just because I was doing other stuff in the meanwhile). I never did anything else farming wise after my first perm ban.
But yesterday (as 95% of the people here) I got banned on BOTH accounts, saying the ban will be lifted in 6 months.
But now to get tho the point. My main account already had a FINAL WARNING. Yet the ban will be lifted even though I already have spilled my final warning now. I think Blizzard just never intedned to bot anyone permanently. I think it's just a strategy that they have set up to either make us look forward to stuff or anything. I don't know but it seems suspicious to just hand out 6 months suspensions to everyone. Even people who have violated the rules earlier and got final warnings.
I guess I am lucky though. But still...it seems a bit odd.
