From myself, my small group of friends who used your software, and the vast majority of users, I (we) thank you. You worked tirelessly to protect your users, did everything possible to fight Blizzard in a court of law and gave outstanding customer support. While only being a short-term user (3 months) you made a game I found incredibly tedious into a game I spent a lot of hours playing. I levelled toons to 100 in mere days, grinded my way to the top and kicked ass in BG's, and none of it would be possible if not for you. Thank you for your years of service to the community, and thank you for helping people find fun in a tedious game. While this ban is only temporary, I know you guys will be working on something big, and I for one, as well as my group of friends will be behind you when it happens.

the only reason for this many bans is because blizzard is planning something in November so when banns are expired they can show people another increase in sub numbers when to the outside world (who doesn't know there was a banwave)

NO1 can blame honorbuddy on this ban, because they keep warning users not to use bot on valuable accounts, and yet they've protected us for more than 5 years.

i've been botting since cata, and i've never ever been caught, i leveled 11 lvl 100 horde & 11 lvl 100 alliance, and never been caught b4, honorbuddy is so intelligent, and gave us the experience and challenged pro players

the mother fucking blizzard lost 3 million subs on this new expansion, and they need $$ so the only way they can come up with large amount of $$ is by banning ppl 6 months, so that WE WOULD PAY 60 EURO for a new acc and use 50 EURO for boosting each char...
well guess what BLIZZTARD this ain't gonna happen, go soak in ur epic fail, i for one ain't falling for ur shit

I ain't even mad. The game is in such a garbage place right now and it will be for awhile (blue post WoW forums). Honestly, whenever I turned on my computer, I turned on HB and starting quest botting like it's an everyday chore. I appreciate everything you've guys have done. If the game gets insanely fun and my friends are begging me to come back, I'd probably buy a new account but with the way Blizzard is sinking their ship right now -- 6 months is a breeze to blow by (summer and fall semester). Well i got the 6 month Ban hammer as well and ....I look at it like this i have given blizzard soooo much of my hard earned money in transfers, name changes, faction changes and 9.5 years of subscriptions. this is my first offensive and honest to god i can't stop laughing, the game i once loved dearly has become the biggest joke of a game they can honestly perma ban me and i wouldnt give a shit.
for 9.5 years all this company has done and still does is promise and break promises... new games are out and they're good ... new games are in the works and coming ... I sincerely hope world of warcraft crashes and burns to an unrecoverable state.
its what this company deserves. I am in serious doubt i ever play the game again. ...and that's with 17 - 100's ... 8 of which is full ilvl 660 ... and i wouldn't be surprised if there all stripped of gear on top of all that ..... nahhh yeah im good ... blizzard can go fuck themselfs

I realized I did something like that too ... when I got the email it wasn't "OH NO!" it was "Hmm I'm not really bothered by this". Cause like you, while I didn't actually quest bot/automate anything (only used routines and controlled everything else), I had alot of alts and I'd just check garrisons and not even gather anything and I was just burned out after 10 years. So yes thankyou Bossland and HB devs you made WoW fun again Just sucks that I'm the GM of my guild and I always kept the bank stocked with stuff for newbies. Hopefully my hubby will let me watch over it a bit with his character lol.

Now, all jokes aside, I actually have FUN botting. Only games I have fun NOT botting are Dota 1, Dota 2 and Age of Empires 1.
I've players years of Ultima Online... botting (and PvPing a lot).
I've always botted in every game I play.
I just think it's beautiful to put the machine to work and actually have fun with the fun part of the game whenever I play it.
If it weren't for Bossland I wouldn't have played WoW (like, EVER) and would've quit Diablo 3 a LOT sooner than I did.
Without a good bot, I just won't stick to the game (other than Dota).

Here's an interesting theory: if you're not getting reported, you're having FUN, giving blizz $, and not really hurting the community, since noone reis complaining about you. The minute you get reported, you have gone beyond the boundaries of just having fun and started to abuse the tools you have, and actually hurt the game's community. Just my 2 cents about it. Fun thing for blizz to do is (possibly what they're doing now): only ban reported ppl, track down botters (so they can give the whole "we fight botters" show), give a few months ban (3 months would've been a lot less... "hurtfull"), just in time for next expansion to kick in when they get unbanned. They keep the community happy, they let us have fun MOST of the time, they show they're actually fighting us, and they keep their revenue up.
