Being someone that got completely burned out playing WOW I came to SWTOR with much hope and anticipation. For the first week I was very happy and I must say that the fine folks of Joes 2.0 and Pure are some of the most talented people I have seen. I would like to thank those folks for giving me some hope when I first arrived but...... after seeing the bot and its mount issue be ignored for almost a week, I have decided to return to WOW. I very very much hate that game but to be honest I am a simple person, and being such I paid for a bot service because I wanted it to do the things I hate such as grind, credit/gold grind/ XP/ etc. and as such I am going back to WOW. I believe SWTOR is a very good if not great game but lets be honest here, this bot gets little to no attention such as Honorbuddy does. I applaud those that try such as Adude, Walter, Ama, Etc. but no where when any of us signed up for this bot did it say "Buyer beware, you must repair upon breakage"? Tell me a time that honorbuddy went through this? That is why I am going back to that wretched game, though I may hate it, I know that week end and out it will be there and run tip top. I will check in from time to time on SWTOR and see what has been repaired and what has not but I already own 3 license of both buddywing and honorbuddy and I choose to play the one that works. May you all find peace in your own way.

The fact that mounts are still broken, and so far as I've seen there hasn't been one post from a developer about it, is kind of ridiculous.

True, but thanks to the community we have a viable workaround.

I saw that. I haven't been able to test yet.

Still, it's stupid that:

A) The community was able to code a work around before the developers even acknowledged the bugs existence (and still haven't)
B) It now comes upon the community to fix shit when things break down instead of the developers, who we are theoretically paying.

I understand that they have multiple projects and what not, but would it kill them to go "uh oh, yeah we see it's broken we'll get to it as soon as we have time".

LoL. Wait for me to get on voicechat. I want to hear you speak german.

Aevitas commented on the Support thread. Your doomed attempt at German may not be required :D

I feel the same way almost. It works. Yes. But the but looks as if it's the red headed step child of all the other bots, minus tank bot cause I never used it or know a thing about that. I think buddywing needs more love and the community needs to shout out for this to happen as well.

big fat NO to that!
yes buddywing need more love true... but "we" shouldn't cry for help we should keep doing stuff on our own!
THIS is exactly the reason why kick and others won't return to this "childish" community...

But clearly as of right now if you add up a honorbuddy and a buddywing wing list of features and reliableness...HB wins by a land slide. I'll give you this, maybe I'm missing some important pieces of this puzzle. All I know is if I was buddywing, metaphorically speaking...and if honorbuddy was my brother and got all the cool fancy upgrades all the time with all the bells and whistles...I would ask the dev team what the heck is the deal here? Maybe I'm just tired from work and this doesn't make sense. lol

look, you guys wanted to the product around, we had already began end of life preparations for this product and were ready to end support for it. but obviously you thought there was something here even though our numbers back when we stopped sales were very low, something like less then 5 active sessions, i dont remember the actual number. but you wanted it back and we accommodated you. we changed the yearly sub to a now 90 day, and dropped the price even more. Aevitas is our lead and dedicated dev for the project and im sure hes doing everything can. you gotta keep things in perspective, that swtor only has 500,000 active sub subscribers (Star Wars: The Old Republic monthly average revenue 'more than doubled' since going free-to-play | Polygon) it dost make sense when wow still has 8million and 3million people log into d3 per month, you gotta understand why we cant force a ton of development at this time. if the numbers get better both from people actually using the bot, and the game itself things will look better but till then its only Aevitas.

I totally get that, and I don't expect this bot to be anything other than on life support. I don't expect any major feature patches or anything like that, and I'm glad that you guys brought the bot back. I hope you guys have made your money back on it, because it's been great to me.

I do, however, consider fixing stuff like the mount (something that is ban threatening) this to be on life support :P It doesn't take much time to create a forum post to get us in the know of what's going on (Aevitas did that today, and it went a long way.). Even if it's just to say that he's aware of the problem but won't get to work on it for a week.

Just for future reference, that's what I'd like to see in terms of minimal support of the bot. Just keeping the doors of communication open is all I need.

wait...what? kick is part of the buddy team, yes he made the base round of profiles for the bot and i helped him do that, we didn't decide to leave anything. we were tasked in making the profiles, so we made the profiles. that's all there is too it.

swtor is a mess of a game, and buddywing is a complex bot, you guys want stuff to happen but its harder then you think.

just adding in space missions was a pain. did you know the whole space mission aspect of the game is was probably written by a completely different team? there's tons of technical stuff like that, that make it hard to deal with.

I remember reading that it WAS coded by a different development company.

Just keep the bot around for me :P! Soon enough the routine will be perfected and all classes supported! Don't make me cry code! I need some one to play my Swtor for me since I have no time!

heres the thing too, people compare it to honorbuddy. we've had more then 4 years now to get honorbuddy where it is it took us time to get singular and get bot bases like questing, and GB2 to the states they are now. compared to that we've had no time to write equivalents in buddywing, we had even less community help (even when the bot was in its prime) maybe this bot will get there eventually, but right now it is what it is and its priced accordingly.

G ..sorry if this came across the way it did. I guess the answer to my question was solved by your empowering information about the revnu return on the bot and its subscribers. I'm thankful for a working bot. Thankful for everything it does for me. Grind and quest and so forth. I'm not the type to come into the forums and rain down hot fiery shit on coders who work as hard as you say they do. I'm not backing down but only seeing this with more open eyes now or because your a mod and could mute me. Its just hard to see a game that I like so much now and see a bot not keep up with the others. But your right. It is what it is. The fact is honorbuddy is your largest subscription bot base atm, am I right? So it makes sense to have a greater fraction of a dev team on it Vs BW.
