I know time on keys will be extended, just a curious question

I know time on keys are being extended when the update rolls out. I'm just curious how long it takes to extend everyone's key? Is it like a script that does it automatically? Or do people have to go in 1 by 1 and extend it x number of days?

Also, will I get another e-mail with the key? I only ask because my key expired a few days ago and it's no longer in PF because it expired.

Basically, I'm wondering if I'll be able to run PF immediately following it coming back online?

The new PF is now live, but my copy still says that the key has expired, although there was some time left on it when PF went down. What do I do now?
