Just wondering whats the Devs views are on using 32bit and security aka getting flagged. Its 2015 and majority of computers are now all 64 bit. Isnt using a 32 bit client flagging us for a deeper look or scan? I mean if i was a blizz admin and i KNOW that HB only uses 32-bit, the first thing i would do is run a report on 32-bit users and start looking into them. Why do we have to bot with a bulls-eye on us? I really hope this thread just doesnt get closed without some feedback. I've seen other threads closed with pretty much no answer or a good reply/reason

Theres more to than just using 32bit client that points out a botter.

having click to move switched on
resource gathering totals (which i am sure they can find out)
amount of interrupts someone does (people are good, but bots take it to a whole new level)
not to mention people who use 32 bit client and dont log in via the battle.net app

these are just glaringly obvious points that stand out. however, i am under no illusions that HB can be detected at any point they so wish, the whole 32 bit argument is moot.

kind of a derpaderp question, considering this has been covered repeatedly by HB devs. Until x64 is needed, it won't be implemented. There is no evidence that x86 is a cause of detection. It is an option put into the Blizz launcher because, while most PC users do have x64 systems, there are people who still use x86. I know several who use x86, for various reasons.

Some might consider it broken when you have a LARGE number of users banned with the developers ADMITTING that the software was detected tho they could not pinpoint the detection method used.

Whats the difference between 32 bit and 64 bit?
Cant a programmer write a program that its only job is to convert all code from 32 bit to 64 bit so they could just run two versions and only have to write 1 each patch or expansion ?

I Don't know anything about programming im just asking like if this was actually possible ?

i always use click to move.. I've used it since vanilla, i cant live without it.

The biggest reason that alot of users advocate 64 bit is because the game itself runs so much smoother especially when raiding. Major fps drops are much less common when botting.

I suffer no issues running raids. Major fps drops tend to point to a hardware issue (not enough ram, lower spec GPU, or processor), not software.

Also, I can't imagine HB being so memory-intensive that it really needs more than offered in 32-bit architecture.

Everyone with a tad of uncommon sense knows that x86 makes it dramatically easier to dial in a botter at Best. Doesn't change the fact that bossland does what bossland wants and they don't see our security or better performing software as worth their time.

While it's bad business practice, pre buddy store I kinda understood. Now it's just bad period.

Still - it's their decision and after people get pinched again and leave in droves, we will be the ones without accounts, and they will be the ones without a bottom line.

If you want to be safer (can't help on the performande front unfortunately) swap to an x86 OS. (If you can find one)

It's still not nearly as good as running an x64 client but it won't be AS big a flag or as small a sample to pull from for blizzard.

I can't understand that some people still advocate for x32 Honorbuddy, or try to justify it.

Numbers are there for a reason. If you have to check 1 million accounts for bots, it's quite easier than doing the same for 6 million accounts. Not to mention the improved performance.

It's so obvious it's not worth discussing. Bossland won't do it because it would take time and hussle; fine, he can choose that route. But it is the easy route.

Eventually , a complete x64 bot will show up; most botters (including those who seem to be defending x32 with all their hearts) will switch to it, and when Hb try to update to be able to compete, they will face the same "entitled loyalty" that resides in this forum, but against them.

They'll regret in time, if Hb lives that long. I wish it does though.
