Hey guys i just started using Vmware and i am having a bit of a problem with setting up connection with my HOST (main pc), if i set it to NAT i have the same ip on the vmware windows like my Host windows.... so what type of connection do i make? Host-Only connection?.... giving me a bit of a headache but i need to sort this out :p

Thanks

I think you just assign vm comp to be (for example) 198.162.1.25 where main will be 198.162.1.2 (router is obviously 198.162.1.1). Thats what worked for me anyways.

Stay on Nat, and either accept that the VM will have the same IP address than your current connection (for Blizzard, your IP could be the IP of a university, an entire building, so not that risky if you don't bot 24/7 imo) or put in place a v_p_n in your VM, in order to get another public IP for your VM.

Apparently when blizzard spot a bot, they seem to check if there are other diablo 3 clients running on the same machine (google hardware id computer in google), and sometimes the IP, so it is a bit of a gamble, like you using a bot and hoping not to get banned in a sense ^^

Well i am using 24/7 since start... so i would like a way to have a different ip adress..... so setting therefore i stay on NAT but i use a V P N on every VM i have then?... ouch, my pocket gonna hurt lol

Check some V P N online, some are good and free. But if more and more people use them, they won't be usable anymore due to increasing latency. Good hunt ;).

Btw, the VM is not some kind of magical thing who can invent a new public ip, as long as the vm is hosted on a computer that is in your home, it will have by default the public ip on your home, the only way to change that is by using a V.. or an SSH tunnel. Google is your friend :)

Yep, thanks, i am thinking of using a ***** on each VM. Not very familiar with it, havent used it before or heard of it so i got a few questions as to start with. But thanks, uve cleared some things up for me :)
