I had to register again. Why?

I had registered here about a week ago. A couple of days ago it seem that this site was down and when it was
back up, I was unable to login. My email address that I had used to register was no longer in the data base here.
I was able to register under the same username.

I made that post before I had to register again. Am I missing something?
