I've been browsing through the ban section for most of today and yesterday. I noticed that almost every person banned has been botting for more than 10+ hours using either gb2 with more than 100+ auctions a day or bgbuddy for 10+ hours. I have some questions for you to ask yourself. Do you know any person that sits at the computer and gathers herbs and ore for 10 hours straight every day? Or how about someone who endlessly ques bg's for 10 hours every day? I understand there are plugins for breaks and what not, but even with those tools to help you look less like a bot its just absurd to me that people are wondering why all their accounts are being banned.

I guess i thought it was common sense on how not to be banned. I've managed to dodge the ban hammer since glider and this is how i did it. Stop botting wow like you are a human that sleeps for 7 hours, then plays wow for the rest of the day. Bot like a human would play...Random. Log on for the day at different times each day. Random afk's; for instance sit in a city and talk to friends and guildies for 30 mins or even talk in trade. Its all about being random and staying away from players while botting. The more of a schedule you try to plan out, or how many hours you think you can bot before blizzard will notice, the more you look like a bot. Its not that hard.

I understand that people want to pay bills or make extra cash by selling gold. I just don't see the point in you posting that 8/9 of your accounts got banned when you go on to say you were botting for 18 hours a day with 500 auctions in the AH and all 9 accounts are on the same IP. We all know that's not going to end well. So why do you post it? To remind us that blizzard knows people don't play video games for that long every day for a month?

TL;DR: If you want to keep your account stop botting like its another human and use it like its an assistant while you step out for a few hours.

/end rant.

i know 1 person who gathers by hand more than 10 hours per day.
who is it?
i was it. about 2 years ago. that time i didn't have a bot, and i gathered almost 1 month 10-14 hours per day by hand to get my first hb license+3wow accounts. No instances, no bgs, no grinding, no questing in this time.

not everybody is lazy and dont gather by hand. i know a couple of people who do so.

nope. i still have this 3 year old account. and i am gathering 24/7 with it.
but i get bans daily. running same systems (24/7) same profiles, same everything.
i guess it is about being reported. nothing else.

"This" implies one 3 year old wow account.

How could you get bans daily if you have one account?

I'm going to assume English is not your first language and that's OK. I would just like some clarification on what you mean by you getting bans daily using same everything if you have one account.

Seems to me like they bought more accounts no need to be rude. His English or hers is fine.

:D i will post my history than. my first wow account is 3 years old. the one we talk about. 1 year i was just a player. after the first year, i wanted a bot. so i started hardcore gathering by hand to sell gold, and buy a bot.

after i bought the bot, i bought 3 wow accounts too. 1st account was played by hand, it was my main, and 3 new wow accounts shared the bot ... 1 wow account 8 hours botting.
money came in pretty quick, so within some month i went up from 1 main account ( the hardcore hand gathering account) to now... some more wow accounts and some more hb accounts.
meanwhile most wow accounts bot 24/7. 3 days for leveling, than start gathering. after a week, they paid themself, and run for profit. i never had a ban within the 1st week.
but i have regular bans. usually after the 1st month raf gametime

this^^
Some people expect to lose accounts and post about the information here to help others. I always bot accounts 24/7 and it always pays for itself many times over.
