I've been browsing through the ban section for most of today and yesterday. I noticed that almost every person banned has been botting for more than 10+ hours using either gb2 with more than 100+ auctions a day or bgbuddy for 10+ hours. I have some questions for you to ask yourself. Do you know any person that sits at the computer and gathers herbs and ore for 10 hours straight every day? Or how about someone who endlessly ques bg's for 10 hours every day? I understand there are plugins for breaks and what not, but even with those tools to help you look less like a bot its just absurd to me that people are wondering why all their accounts are being banned.
I guess i thought it was common sense on how not to be banned. I've managed to dodge the ban hammer since glider and this is how i did it. Stop botting wow like you are a human that sleeps for 7 hours, then plays wow for the rest of the day. Bot like a human would play...Random. Log on for the day at different times each day. Random afk's; for instance sit in a city and talk to friends and guildies for 30 mins or even talk in trade. Its all about being random and staying away from players while botting. The more of a schedule you try to plan out, or how many hours you think you can bot before blizzard will notice, the more you look like a bot. Its not that hard.
I understand that people want to pay bills or make extra cash by selling gold. I just don't see the point in you posting that 8/9 of your accounts got banned when you go on to say you were botting for 18 hours a day with 500 auctions in the AH and all 9 accounts are on the same IP. We all know that's not going to end well. So why do you post it? To remind us that blizzard knows people don't play video games for that long every day for a month?
TL;DR: If you want to keep your account stop botting like its another human and use it like its an assistant while you step out for a few hours.
/end rant.
