I got banned, but it seems strange

Hello everyone

So, one of my bot accounts got banned last night. I thought I'll let him farm the whole night because I needed some quick extra money, I know that the risk was very high to get banned and I am not here to complain about it. I bot since quite a few years and I know how it works, sometimes I just overdo it, even if I know that things can go terribly wrong.

I used the same profile as I used on my first account, it was a profile I did for me, no one else has it. Now let me post some stats I had about 9 months ago with my first account:

Could be better, but doesn't look so bad. Now see the stats from last night:

I am not going to calculate anything here as you can see that the stats from the same profile are now worse than before. I want to find out why it is like that. The problem now is, I didn't monitor my computer at night. It could be everything, it could be a simple stuck. But I don't think so. Why? I actually watched the bot before, I am sure that mailbox and repair worked without stucks and I am sure that the bot didn't stuck somewhere for like 5 hours and continued working after that. I used ARelog and both chars were Tauren Druids with 280% flying. EXACTLY the same profile.

My question is: how do you think is this possible? Why are my stats so bad now? What can I do to prevent this, or even find out what causes this problem? I want to hear your opinion on this, because there is no wrong or right here. Some possible answers for me are

- Stuck in objects
- "stuck" in combat
- blizz nerfed the nodes

It could be that blizz just nerfed everything and I didn't know about it because I didn't bot for at least 9 months, if someone knows anything about this I would appreciate an answer. Sorry for my bad English, just ask me if something is unclear or you need more information.

you are not going to get an answer worth anything from here, because no one knows wtf your profile is, what zone, what server. could be anything from stuck to 5 other bots competing to anything else.

observe your bot for 30 min and you'll see what the problem is if any

by the way dont gatherbuddy for 8 hours in a row you will lose all the rest of your accounts

I highly doubt your low yield from 8 hours of farming is due to blizz "nerfing" anything. There were probably others gathering.

Well i had a similar experience... What i noticed is that it didnt mail anything to my alt altho it mailed... i tought there was some lag with mailing so didnt pay any attention to it then i notced that it flex without gathering and i didnt have any competitors... i was gathering mining for like 6 hours straight. Got a bann for 72 hours and they took everything for this toons bag and everything that was mailed and everuthing that was in the bag of my toon... last warning and that account will be bye bye.. No gathering for the moment for me.. find this situation to damn suspicious

ps: my other account where they took the ores and herbs away thet didnt do a thing to it. I guess it will be under observation tho...

ps2 i m botting a for long time now so i know also how it goes...this is the first suspension 72h with last warning..

All the kids that are allowed to play only on Weekends and stuff, all the grown ups who only can log in on weekends ...

i am Botting almost 24/7 ... never flagges banned. i ever called the GM because my Toon was Stuck and the Acc. isnt banned yet.

Depend on the population and Bot activity at the Realms

It was in KunLai on a HighPop EU Realm. I don't want an answer, I want speculations, I want to discuss here.

As I said before, I am not new in the "bot-business", I obviously observed my bot for more than 30 min and didn't saw any problems, that's why I am posting here.

I highly doubt it too, but you never know. I didn't bot for 9 months, who could know what they changed since back then.

Mine did mail everything, I don't know if they removed anything yet since it is still banned. I already wrote a ticket and they gave me a 72h ban too. I didn't see any competitors either that's why it looks so strange for me.

I already had one account banned, they did not remove a single thing and it was banned at least twice.

Well, I didn't notice that. I just downloaded the HB Installer and it never asked me to do an update.

The reason for closure was "using of bots or other third party software to automation" (it's on German but it should be something like that)

something similar happened to me using 729, but on a 4 hours session, gathered for about half the time and then just idled till it finished. The only answer i got was update to 732.

The Reason is probobly becasue it just stood there for a long period of time.. (1-4 hours) and that gets calculated into the total nodes.

I highly doubt that nodes per hour figures into it, because it would take far too much overhead CPU-wise to monitor for that.

The majority of bans I have read about thus far, all seem to be using public farming profiles and I'd be willing to bet that there was a player who reported them.

someone said you were using 730, and when i asked something similar in support they told me i should upgrade to 732, implying something was fixed in that rev. But now that i took a personal look, you were using 732 indeed. My only answer is that its a HB bug, you should post your log on support, that may help them fix it.
