Hunter as bot gatherer char?

Got a new/old account with a hunter on. Should I use it as bot char, or would you make a new one (which)?

Obviously using the hunter would require not as much time leveling etc.

just use the hunter, chances are pet will kill everything anyways.

I have a BM hunter farming for me for about one year now. Just as good as any other account I have (Ihave druids/paladins/dks)

keep in mind to disable disengage....
i'm having issues with hunter bot disengaging off a cliff half the time (so i turned disengage off)....now sometimes it's falling off that same cliff trying to get to a ranged point.

melee is better for gathering, just my opinion.
Do you HAVE to make a new toon just for it, no, absolutely not....hunter does fine.
