Got a virus this morning, cleaned it up, now HB and Gb will not AUTH, servers are still up I guess since there is no other posts here about it. This is also affecting Curse Client in not being able to log in, also Outlook will not show pictures. I guess it is something to do with access to the internet :)

I did delete a heap of temp folders when cleaning the virus up, that could of messed the above apps up. Any ideas where to start to get them going again.

EDIT: seems to be .net framework related, trying a new install of that.

You know what must be done, you must nuke your windows install just to be sure or they may build a second death star.

make sure you use ninite dot com, will def help you out, restoring your pc. check it out

ninite don't work, can't connect to the server......................... there is obviously something blocking outgoing traffic, no idea where to start either.

Virus deleted all my restore points too :(

Windows update can't connect to the internet either., must one simple setting..can't find it :(

still foobar, the dreaded format coming up :(

Damn, ur pc's fucked up, had this happen a couple time to a few different computers over time. Just nuke and pave itll save time and frustration

I persevered, Spybot search and Destroy got the last of it, all going well now. Although an upgrade to W7 is on the cards shortly, have to bite the bullet at some time.
