How & When To Start Using A Fresh Account To Manage Your Auctions

I have used the search feature tirelessly on the forums and I haven't really found a resounding answer on this so here I go. As time goes on I have wanted to switch from using my farmers and my main account for posting auctions so I can have a chance of protecting myself in case anything got banned or reported. I hope you guys can help fill in the gaps?

What is the safest type of account to run your auctions on?

I have had the worst luck with running a lot of auctions on Vanilla/BC only accounts. Is it important to upgrade all the way to Cataclysm or is Wrath enough?

Do you need to have a high level character on the account or have a high level character post the auctions to be safest?

I seemed to run into more bans when posting on low level characters, but I also never had a high level character on these accounts either. Which is it?

Is there a grace period you should wait before posting your normal volume of auctions from a new account?

I know trial accounts that are upgraded and then post or move gold seem to be flagged easier than older accounts. What have you guys found to be a safe zone of time to wait?

This question is more broad, but what are other factors you feel make for the safest possible auction account? (VPN, different mac address, etc)

Just have vanilla, is a bad idea posting 100+ auctions imo, i do 300+ on my main, with no problems, and sell around 50k in mats on another every day.

Im pretty sure when it comes to ah it doesnt matter what type of account with what characters on it posted.
I believe blizzard have no specific rules for flaggin or banning right away an account with somewhat unusual AH activity.
It all comes from player reports. And if GM that picks such ticket/report decides to go deep for some reason - than any account could be banned/locked after investigation.
