With the new launcher being implemented, how do we open multiple D3 copies now?

I thought about this more than a few times in the past couple of months. I just tried messing around with a few different things and couldnt get it to work either, copying multiple folders and such doesn't work anymore. When you go to launch a "second" battle.net app launcher it alrdy shows that its launched and dont pull up a new one :(

EDIT: If you don't log into the launcher and just copy your .exe file like you do now and put "-launch" in the target line it seems to go straight to d3 login screen like normal. Hopefully this will work, i have multiple diablos up now and can sign in just like normal. However I can't really test anything out since servers still down :P

Got it, I just updated each d3 by opening each launcher in the D3 folders. The .exe on my desktop loads each game still.

Soo did this work or no? I think it still gave me the conflcting error.

this, make a shortcut and add -launch into its properties after diablo III.exe -launch

Im still wondering how demonbuddy will handle this. and r-yar. Gonna be awesome to see if they find solutions to work around that annoying battle.net logger thing they got.

You have r-yar link the shortcuts with the above -launch and r-yar should open it fine.

If you can't figure out any other option, I have a solution that does not require file modification. Download a copy of VMPlayer and a copy of the Ubuntu 13.10.iso or a linux distro. Copy over your existing diablo file to the virtual and play it through WINE. I say to use an ubuntu or linux distro due to the minimal resource requirements. Do not use VirtualBox or Oracle Virtual as their baseline resource requirements will severely hinder multiple virtuals running and DB on top of that.

Edit: There is a massive perk to using virtuals. If for some reason Blizzard decides to collect data on what IP you're coming from via the battle.net/game instance or if they take the time to tear down session packets or headers, the virtuals will render as distinct boxes. Each, though NAT'd through your public facing IP, will utilize distinct sockets (IP and Port combinations) with the host server. I could go into more detail if necessary but wanted to toss this little perk out now.

I cannot even log on to most of my accounts game just crashes after "retrieving heroes list".
Only 2 accounts on each of my PCs are accessible. Anyone else with this problem here maybe?
