How to know when we have to update client?

How can we know when you have updates am I missing the update thread with change logs or is there not one yet?

With my experience with the buddy software it prompts you on load that a new version is available.
Also Pokefarmer is a very new product. I would imagine a feature like that would be implemented.Just check back the sticky thread every couple days.
