I really enjoy D3 and i would love not to put my main account at risk while i bot.

so, lets say i bot on a different machine, but I use the same IP, never do trade between the 2 accounts, never bot on my main, is there any possible way for me to lose my main account.

thAnks for your input

If you don't bot on your main, or trade gold to your main, you should be good to go. If you start doing trades with the bot you can be banned if your bot gets banned.

Blizzard don't do IP based bands, and even if they do, you can easily appeal since you did nothing wrong on your main account. However, anything can happen you're never safe. :)

I have 5-6 accounts all on same machine and IP, they trade to my main everyday. I have lost bots before but the main that does all the selling is never touched.

Just my half nickle, void in Canada and Detroit.

Yeah I've been through 2 rounds of bans, first lost my DH doing Sarkoth, and recently lost 5 barbs in act 3. I've always traded gold and items to my main non botting account (well I did bot three toons to 60 on it), and it has never been banned. It is quite obvious I trade all my stuff to my main, as all the toons are paragon lvl 0 on it lol. Think they need to catch you when you're botting. As my brothers accounts have been going since the Sarkoth days, and he did NOT happen to be online botting the days I got banned (same ip).

But I've read stories of people getting banned when not online, and their mains getting banned as well.

So I can only speak from MY experience.
