BUT SRSLY... THERE IS NO BAN WAVE STFU
Everyone is freaking out over their acc's being banned for abuse of the economy or other things. Calm the hell down and put in an appeal. I have been botting 24/7 and talk on my bot in gchat a bit everyday using buddycon so I can "prove" that I was actually playing even though it is bullshit.
I have managed to get up 1000+ auctions on a couple days and have been making masses of gold and storing it in a gbank while pushing the gold through AH items like spectral tigers ect splitting up the gold sending it through unsuspecting players and making it a hell of a job for blizzard to figure out where the gold is going and coming from just because I am paranoid.
I got a perm ban for abuse of the economy and I made a post about it here, I put in an appeal about 8 hrs after the ban and I got a long apology from blizzard. So I figured I might try and give you all some info on what I find works with appeals.
1. Don't get mad at blizzard, they did something terrible to you but you need to come back to them like a dog with its tail between its legs confused.
2. Come up with a good story as to why you wanted to get gold or why you were farming herbs, don't come up with some crazy elaborate story about every little thing you did that you think they know about or have caught you on during investigation. Say you are getting ready for raiding with your guild and you need upwards of 300k just to afford insane flask costs boe's ect ect.
3. You put alot of money into this game and you have put alot of money into blizzard products RECENTLY ... I doubt very much they actually checked into this but this was part of their long apology since I am a paying "valued customer"
4. Do you have ANY addons or plugins that perform ANY human action that is not normally thought of when mentioning botting. Autogratz addon? Welcome addon? Guild invite addon? Poweauras sending say messages? Gladius sending msgs even. Mention around what time they were happening and say "I was at my comp blah blah blah" just try and push the fact that at certain times you were doing things like that.
5. DO NOT read num 4 and send them "I KNOW FOR A FUCKING FACT THAT BOTS CANNOT DURP DURP DURP AND THIS THAT THIS THAT" ... they will instantly think... hey wait a second... how do you know that!
6. USE GOOD ENGLISH... lets be honest here if you are from EU and botting on a US realm or are from another area and have poor english skills get a friend to type what you want said out. I hate to be racist / languageist (lulz) but blizzard really doesn't like improper english in tickets ect. I used to type like a durp in my gm tickets and the second I started using proper english and started putting some time into these my tickets were answered faster and I had a great time with GM's ect.
7. Near the end of the ticket, let them know that you think this is an honest mistake and you have heard of it happening before and you completely trust them to correct the issue because you know you are in the clear.
8. Try to end it off with "thanks in advance" or something better then that I have found this helps since you are just putting more trust in them.
9. Have some social skills, lying and social engineering takes some skill when it comes to trying to get your way with a massive company. If you can actually get them on the phone (I cant they are always full for me) make sure your confident and not scared to talk to the blizz rep. People offer services to get you unbanned and alot of the times they work just because they are good at talking to people.
10. Just a side note, blizzards bans in this game are a joke compared to others. You have the chance to talk to a real rep and explain your situation and they are limited by the same things you are. They can get emotionally involved in a story even.
LET US KNOW HOW YOUR APPEALS WENT! - DON'T COPY PASTE EXACTLY WHAT YOU SENT THEM .... we don't need blizzard getting 1000 of the exact same copy paste appeals
