How to decide which movesets are best?

So lately, i've been trying to only evolve pokemons with ivs over 95% but many times, i end up with some terrible movesets. So I don't know if its worth using stardust on them. Does anyone know how to determine which moveset is the best for every pokemon? Is there a website that shows this? I don't want to waste stardust for nothing..

When determining what makes a good move, there are a few factors to take into consideration, namely how much power the move has, how long it takes to perform, and for how much time it does damage to the enemy Pokemon. Luckily, players have put together some valuable resources you can have handy during gameplay.
A website called Pokemon.Gameinfo.io calculates exactly how much effective damage per second every single move in the game does, and for each Pokemon, determines the most effective quick move and the most effective main move.

The list for the individual Pokemon is nice. The list for the best moves of each type, less so. The one major thing it doesn't take into account (in a vacuum) is that you get extra damage from a move if your Pokemon is of the same type as it.

But it is nice to see, as a sort of "This move is really the best overall, in the right situation".
