How soon can we expect cata profiles for HB and GB

As soon as members here will make them and share them. I am personally planning to learn how to do that after my finals are over and make some for community.

I tried one on my own recently and while I got the pathing down my bot would not attack anything. I think it has something to do with factions and telling it what mobs to attack.

pvp will probably be easy

the other ones, members make. these members generally aren't paid for them.

Exactly, they'll be up as soon as people decide they want to give them for free. If GB is running at launch I'll knock up a quick and crap profile that flies around the starting zone for my own use over the first few days. If it turns out to be worth releasing I will.

That said I imagine new offsets, log in ques, busy as hell areas and the like might well conspire against any botters.

Although the Honorbuddy side for profile creation is complete, there is no corresponding side for Gatherbuddy profile creation (yet).

Most of the effort has been focused on completing the Honorbuddy side first including Plugin and CustomClass writing, which hasn't even started yet really. (Other than a couple of good articles Apoc wrote.) The (hugely wild) assumption on my part is that Gatherbuddy will become a paid-plugin to Honorbuddy before the Wiki will be complete (a few more months at the current rate, plus holiday season).

If the Honorbuddy side is completed, and Gatherbuddy still isn't a plugin, then I'll give it a look.

Our Wiki, like all Wikis, is a *Community* effort, not a Chinajade effort. Feel free to drop in stuff you feel is appropriate--I hear there's a need for explaining how to create Profiles in Gatherbuddy.

@CJ: I wouldn't hold my breath for a HB - gb plugin.

I think a GB profile guide would be awesome.
The driving forces behind GB seem to make it so that it is almost never down.
As such for farming it is much more profitable then HB will be for a long while.

@cj im pretty sure edit patrol needs an update due to the new mpq format
Maybe apoc if he reads it could update it since he was able to get it to work with his profile editor for hb

But other than that its just a case of pressing start recording and flying around. With a setting of around 500-1000ms depending on how detailed you want it to be.
