How shuffling works and how useful it is?

Hi everyone,

I am new around here and haven't started farming yet just leveling and trying to learn the bot before going into it.

I have seen the word "shuffle" a lot of times around here, I do know what the word itself means but what does it mean on the context of shuffling mats?

Does it means you will be sending it to a few toon's before reaching the destination it should be at to confused blizzard or what?

How is that useful?

it's the art of buying raw mats and processing "shuffling" them through 2-4 proffs or such

for example:
Ghost iron ores -> Bars -> Ghost Iron Bracers -> Sprit Dust -> Mysterous Essence -> Enchants
