How should I start out with level 70 Crusader?

I am quite new to this, I leveled my crusader to 70 at Reaper of Souls release, but havent played since.
I got some random noob legendaries, and even some rare gear.
I just started botting with "Adventurer" and loaded "Nephalem rifts" at Torment 1.
I use the "Noob to Ancient" item list rule found here.
I currently have some set items and legendaries in my stash.

-Should I keep doing T2 Nephalem rifts?
-What skill build /setup should I use?
(Currently using hammerdin)

(I have searched the forum, but only found builds that require ancient gear)

Help appreciated!

Yea dude just keep at it, Just do Normal rifts or low lvl grifts till you collect the right gear. For a crusader I suggest starting off with a thorns build since the items you need for this build are real easy to find and they dont need to be ancient. once u have all the items you can clear t10 rifts and some low like lvl 55-60 grifts without dying.

While you do that save gear for the LoN Bombardment build which is the absolute best build by far currently.

Thanks you soo much! It was really helpfull, so I liked your post!
When I checked my stash yesterday, I almost had the full invoker set, so I think I will start the Thorns build right away.
(I also have both LoN rings, one of them is "Ancient Legendary Set Ring")

Good start, the best way to start any char is to find a good beginer setup like thorns and leave it set for a day wake up and u will see nice loots and u can convert to the better build.

Two words: Haedrig's Gift

If you don't mind starting a new character in Seasons, here is what I did on my accounts:

Start new seasonal character

  • Join Powerleveling community in game.
  • Ask to get a powerlevel from 1-70 in the comms at the bottom left of the screen
    • *Keep asking every few minutes until someone invites you*
    • Leveling will take 15-20 minutes once you get an invite from a decent leveler.
    • Always teleport to them when they get to the Rift Guardian to get a Rift Key, DB and items to salvage.
    • When you hit 70, you will see a message at the bottom left of screen, this is two pieces of the Invoker [Thorns] set... aka Haedrig's Gift
    • When you hit 70, start following them through the level to pickup level 70 rares that you can equip.
  • Ask your leveler for a T2 Kulle kill. They almost always oblige.
    • After the T2 Kulle kill, you will have another message for you, this is 2 more pieces of the Invoker Set.
  • Ask them to do a Goblin Realm for you. Many will do this, and you will have enough gold to train all of your artisans (should have DB from Rift Guardians).

You now have a 4 piece set bonus, basic yellow gear and max trained artisans without any work.

You should now be able to do some basic rifts. Go look at a guide for Invoker set. Set the bot to run Rifts for the night.

Next day, go look at what you have, equip the best gear, see how high your bot can go in Torment.

Once you can do a Greater Rift 20 (basically Torment 4), do it... This will get you 2 more pieces of the Invoker Set.

6 piece thorns set is pretty powerful for being basically free. You can upgrade rares to get a pig sticker, toss on a shield and you're facerolling lower torments.

Start doing lower GRifts to get all of your legendary gems leveled up.

Once you get enough Ancient items, swap to a LoN Sader Build.
