dont push beyond a comfort level until you have high level gems and lots of toughness. With high gems Molten Wildebeest's Gizzard and Esoteric Alteration you'll be okay for until about 36ish grift if you d/c and you're surrounded by elite packs (assuming ur gems are 50+) after that you can't really have a setup which doesn't die at some point.. just make sure you have backup items and gems before you start to push into the higher tiers so when ur hero dies you have a backup.. the mobs/elites do lots of dps at the higher grifts and most of the defensive items require that your character activates something sort of skill to keep them going. Crusaders generally have the best suitability, followed by wd, the rest of the heros require you to have spells active to keep up the toughness i.e waste set requires you to keep WW on for you to have the reduced damage. Keep in mind the higher toughness you'll have the longer it will take you to clear grifts, so you might live at the start but it might take you too long to clear rifts for it to be efficient. The best thing is to look at builds and keep and eye on ur character to constantly keep adjusting him. When you have ur backup gear and you're pushing the grifts, dont be shy to push up because when you die you might as well have cleared a lot of higher grifts and hopefuly farmed enough backups you can do it all over again. If you dont want to die, dont play HC, in HC you will die, that's not a question to even ask, but the question is when. I'm assuming that you wont be farming 30 grifts forever and u'll be pushing into 40+
