....there is no how much is too much..there is only
1. Do botting and risk your account
2. Don't bot and don't risk your account
BUT there are a lot of things you can do...(like stated a billion times in this forum) to avoid getting the attention of other players.
Just a short list ( i'm pretty sure this is the 1.000.000.001 list XD)
- Don't bot if you don't want to lose the account! It doesn't matter how safe hb/gb is..if your life depends on this account...well don't bot =)
- Don't bot always at the same spot
- Don't bot
on a schedule, do it random with random longer/shorter breaks between
- Don't just bot with this account and the char you are botting with, do some daily quests/heroics
- Don't use auto reply plugins...well i don't wanna piss any devs off but...for sure this plugins can break your neck.
- If you have the possibility to remote control your bot, do it (Status Center, IRC, whatever...)
I am botting with 3 accounts and my gatherbuddy bots are running 24/7 and i never got any gm whisper or player report within the whole year now!(Just following the "rules" written above) Years ago i started with glider but more for leveling then pure farming. Then i switched to OpenBot(Innerspace, ISX).
Most of the people think yes....and they are too scared and think that Blizzard has employs that only monitor people..for how long they are online and stuff like that..but indeed there aren't even enough employs to work on all the tickets that are being created each day...i wrote something about that
here
If you bot smart you will not get reported and if there is a software detection, then it doesn't matter if you used the bot for 10 minutes, 2 hours, 8 hours or the whole day!
